An eyewitness reader sent us this

This is just a brief report about what happened today at about 07:15am this morning.

My name is Felix Olaitan, I work with a Media house in Lagos.

Every Friday Morning, I shoot in a gym at Oliyide Street in Ikeja for a Cable TV Station, but as i arrived the venue this morning, i realize that the place was locked and occupants of houses in that street were seen in twos and threes analyzing what seems to be like an eye witness ordeal of a robbery incident.I t was after i parked that i realise that it is becoming a daily affair in the country these days where mobs take laws into their hands to mete out jungle justice to suspected criminals.

The pictures of the suspected armed robber lynched is attached. According to eyewitnesses, the young man was caught after robbing people of their valuables, they were two, but the second robber escaped when sensed his end was imminent. Instant justice was carried out on him as he was shot in the leg.

As at the time of writing this report, he's still on the floor of Änike Apena Street, not too far from Customs Office in Ikeja

asin I've always protested against jungle justice, but the fact is that they deserve it.

Lynch Tinubu and I will take you serious. Wicked people of Nigeria. If it was a policeman that condemn a thief to death with his gun, the news would change and the young man would suddenly become an innocent boy. The police should trace any of the eyewitnesses and make him or her an escape goat. The victim is guilty of robbery but those people that killed him, including the eyewitnesses are murderers.

few hours ago I read someone's 8days old newly registered car stolen, and I wonder how long d victim has been working/saving up to purchase d car, only to be taken by another man with a gun.
Jungle justice is not d way, but I have zero sympathy for men in mask.
there are clean runs and hustles that bring more cool cash than snatching another man's with a gun.

Jungle justic is the the way! ...If you have been attacked by those hoodlums, you will know that jungle justice is the way. It is -1 on their side!!!

jungle justice is not really d way i believe those who meted dz out on this man are worse they re nothing but a murderer. no its bad let d law take its course nd dont take d law into ur hand. im not justifying d robbery but neither will i justify d murder as a matter of fact he is a robber nd not an arm robber the punishment does not commensurate with the punishment na ...u cant create d life u just destroyed
