The problem of Niger Delta is the greed of the leaders and the mental poverty of the followers.

Billion billions yet no singular world class project, the leaders send 90% of the funds overseas for their family and future, keep 9% to maintain their harem & associates, and share 1% to the populace as constituency projects.

u could be right. But that will be too myopic of our Niger Delta PDP senators.
Let me use Rivers state as an example. If a politician who supports APC live in a neighbourhood, the PDP govt would tar roads in the sorrounding neighbourhoods and refuse to work in that neighbourhood. They will distribute transfomers and wouldn't give one to that neighbourhood. Every form of governance will skip them because of that politician.

But what they fail to understand is that the politician does not necessarily feel the pinch as he already has SUVs to drive on the bad roads and a Lister generator at home for electricity. They are simply undoing the common man.

They are all PDP senators. They wanted the Lagos-Calabar rail project out so that they can discredit Amaechi by saying he overlooked the Niger Delta. Their plan is to paint APC as a party that hates Niger Delta.

Their hate for Amaechi will kill all of them.
So true.

The mentality of an average Nigerian politician leaves the devil scratching his head in disbelief.

So disgusting.

lets us bring our iq to your level and reason like you. if at all it was propaganda atleast this will tie his hands . The budget was 6.17trillion and it was reduced to 6.06 trillion, according to you since ot has been claimed by apc that they have intention to construct calabar -lagos rail then the senators should add it to the budget this week.

First, as a Niger Deltan, I do Not have enough FACTS to comment on this matter. I wont just jump on the band wagon and start criticizing people without hearing the details of what actually transpired.

Secondly, everything that emanates from this Govt is BOUND to Fail so why bother about the FAILED Lagos-Calabar project.

That is another way to look at it.

But i doubt that.

i just believe they didnt care

I also believe they did not care. There is no excuse for that project leaving the budget.

These Senators were looking for Projects to remove to increase or retain constituency allocations and they picked that one.

The Northerners will not allow their project go out but our greedy Senators pretended as if they do not see.

What gain will painting Amaechi bad will the Rivers People gain?

I am just glad there is someone like Amaechi close to the President, if not that project would disappear and the Niger Delta Senators will act as if nothing happened.
Re: Where Were Niger-Delta Senators & Reps When Lagos Calabar Rail Was Removed? by TheGoodJoe(m):
bettercreature:
They don't want Ameachi to get any allocation
The Lagos-Kano rail project will still give Amaechi allocation.

Whether is because of they want to make the APC government look bad or make Amaechi look bad, it all adds to the OP's point.

These Senators put their greedy objectives over their people.

They all must be recalled especially that Johnny just come called Nwaboshi. Every time he speaks as if he is the mouth piece of Saraki yet could not see how a rail track running through Delta to Lagos will benefit his people.
Nonsense.

Everything is not bound to fail; the Lagos - Calabar project actually predates this government.
