Which major railway is not functional?
The one Jonathan said he did or am I missing something?
So it's impossible to make the existing railway functional, while building a standard gauge?
Would you rather have them spend the #60billion to construct a new road in Kwara State than start the construction of a new railway from Lagos to Calabar, just because the existing ones are not "functional"?
Even if Buhari is your enemy, you can still use him to achieve great things or do you think not being able to construct the new raiway will hurt him in any way?
Try and be sensible for once tongue
I'll excuse you if you're not from the South-South

If you have drawn your conclusion already based entirely on what the presidency purported without hearing from the NASS, then you lack simple elementary reasoning capacity to adjudicate on any issue.

80% of southern senators are PDP senators, what happened? I won't be surprise if they planned to spite amaechi. It seems he is the hardest hit.

Exactly. These zombies don't get tired of propaganda. If the dullard farts in a can and gives it to them, they'll say it's Calvin Klein perfume, no questions, no reasoning. Bunch of dolts.

Let us hear why NASS removed those projects first and if for dubious copious intents, then we can judge for ourselves. Until then...

There must be a reason for that, after all that is a new route

The two major rail lines we have are not even working yet and they want to creat a new one, does that make sense to you?

NASS advice to the dullard must have been for him to get the two major rail lines (Lagos-Kano & PH-Maiduguri) working first before thinking of a new one. Everything must not be for political gains! Am sure this was the reason why Osinbajo said GEJ did not construct new road. Why will you construct a new road when the ones you have are not working yet?

What do we expect from an Assembly that is guided & led by corruption . Imagine the mindset of their leaders..panama style of leadership. Until they clean up that arm of Govt ,things may not be easy for the executive arms. National Assembly leaders are saboteurs

support the wise men that we sent to monitor the padding of the burget
Fir your info, it is traditional for NASSto handle budgets in this manner to serve their own selfish interests. I saw that first hand with NDDC budget. They will remove bugetd they did not prepare and insert theirs. that is why NDdC projects that should finish in one year will last 4-6 years. For instance, they removed my ongoing project for which they NDDC had paid mobilisation and which I have completed to 40% from the 2013 budget and brought it back in 2015 with less that 15% provision. I would have finished it in one year but I have abandoned d road until they (NASS) puts it back. NDDC inserts d project from their but it gets removed at NASS. A friend had to pay N4.5m to someone in NASS to get his N250m NDDC road project awareded to him in 2011 put back in 2015 as he had mobilised to site. In this report they removed ongoing roads and inserted the ones that had not even been scoped. I am 100% behind Buhari to put a stop to the mess that NASS over the years do to budgets. WE MUST CHANGE

It is very shameful that there are senators and house of rep. members there representing the people of the south, yet before their very eyes the N60 billion that was earmarked for railway from lagos to calabar was removed while that of Lagos to Kano scale thru.

I don't blame the members of house of assembly from the south since most of them are PDP. When it comes to rigging elections, collecting bribe they are very smart but when it comes to engaging their nothern counterpart in serious national issues they are very timid. Everyday you see senators like Ekweremadu, Urogide(edo state) and other PDP senators following saraki to the CCT. One would have expected them to use the closeness to the senate president to lobby so that they can attract federal presence to the south, but the reverse is always the case. Shame on Ekweremadu, shame on PDP, shame on southern senators and house of rep members.
don't be judgemental my friend. APC is full of propaganda and they knew that you will fall for this type of tribal issues. You believed them on Buhari going to China for Calabar railway Bros? Abegi open your eyes cos na one chance cab we dey.

If this story is true this is one of the reasons we rooted for PMB. Many of us have read and heard about his forthrightness and discipline as a military HOS.
These are the kind of evils he should stay back home and stop from happening under his watch. We already know our lawmakers are evil but an overly indecisive and unavailable PMB will only make evil doers fledge.

The real enemy of Nigerians is the National Assembly! The institution harbors looters who have bled their states white and have cases with EFCC. It also harbors criminals, drug dealers, girl child molesters (paedophiles), big time thieves involved in Panama scandal and blood-sucking cultists!! They are selfish and would do everything possible to frustrate Buhari on the 2016 budget. Pity indeed that rather than marching on the National Assembly to demand a thorough purge of its compromised leadership and various Committees, some misguided Nigerians are busy throwing insults at the executive arm. Change can only occur if the people take their destiny in their hands and rise up against saboteurs masquerading as leaders, as was done in Brazil and Iceland!!! Nigerians should support Buhari to compel the National Assembly to do the needful on the 2016 budget to enable its prompt passage into law.

Abdulmumin is a member of the ruling political party in Nigeria, People's Democratic Party (PDP) until 2013 when he was one of the leaders that led 37 other lawmakers to cross-carpet to the leading opposition party in Nigeria - All Progressives Congress (APC) as a result of the emergence of factions in the ruling party and general dissatisfaction with the way the party is conducting its affairs

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdulmumin_Jibrin
Abdulmumin Jibrin, the appropriation committee chairman was a PDP member before defecting to the APC hence PDP by birth...

First learn about your own country's politics and history before commenting or arguing over what you know little or nothing about..
