and i tot APC are the majority in NASS, why are they flooring their OgA na, or is it that the federal govt is just trying to remove our mind from the fuel scarcity and the power instability we are facing (which they v succeded in doing)

am just going to hold on tight and listen to the media, since the man don travel we go get the main news on what happened, and what he intend to do to it, what promise he inted remove and finally how he tend to stear the country
Thought I'm the only one who noticed PMB says what's going on in the country outside the shores of the country. Like he feels more comfortable doing that outside 9ja..

Whatever his intentions are, ion think it's the right thing to do..

Let's wait and see what he'll say this time around..

Our president is flying China air to borrow 2billion dollars loan without NASS approval, what an obsessive government! This guy has committed so many impeachable offences. The funny part of is zombies will still support his moves, shame on all zombies worldwide for supporting this bossy president, he is not a leader!

Balderash!

The Presidency never said it was in the first edition but that the Hon Minister for National Planning Udo Udoma argued it's case in the house and it was included in the second version. It was the second version ( padding free) that was reviewed and passed by the house. In the second edition it was there.

I dislike the use of obfuscation to make points. Deal with the issue on the merits. The budget is not a party budget it is a national budget.

Both PDP and APC senators are up on arms about the exclusion of Lagos - Calabar railway line and it's replacement with constituency projects such as boreholes, tricycles and town hall meetings. Items already provided for in the bloated salary of every senator.

If you want to catch the PoFRN out, monitor execution of his administrations programs. The budget is for every single Nigerian and not for a party or the people that voted for it.

Enough of narrow minded part thinking. The next election isn't until 2019.
The second edition is actually the one put up for download and there is no such project there. The first budget was never put up for download by the fg.

Also, the second edition is not padding free. They haven't even removed all the so called padding from the budget. What they tried to do is move the money around and spread it to mother projects. The added monies should have been expunged altogether and the overall budget reduced by that sum. But because buhari is trying to settle his cronies, he didn't remove the fraud. We are just waiting for him to sign it so it all gets truly exposed!

Maybe you think the padding is actuality a woman's sanitary pad that was added to the budget. I will pardon your ignorance for now. Just to educate you, the paddings are projects. But they are frivolous and scandalous projects. So removing the paddings also means removing projects. Do you understand now?
bros the only thing I understand now is that you're very slow. is the lagos-calabar rail link a "frivolous and scandalous" projecthuh so why was it removed? why are you even defending the lawbreakers?

No need to flog a dead horse. The Lagos-Calabar project was never in the budget in the first place. The budget copy is available all over. It was put up for download by the budget office on their site. Buhari is just looking for distractions for the mess he is in.

Publishing a picture online of the president going through a 1800 page document was enough to tell anyone this was all propaganda. The APC are not serious and not ready for governance. This is how 419 scam groups operate. They throw a lot of hot air and puff and huff aimlessly all day with zero substance. It is all so pathetic

Also, remember that the reason the budget was submitted to the NASS in the first place is so they can scrutinise it and remove or add whatever is necessary. You cannot now accuse them of actually doing their job. You cannot berate them for being efficient and competent! I can't believe how kindergarten Buhari and his team are. Such a shame!!!
Pls can u share d download link with me? I really wanna hav a copy of that budget for reference

snail speed with snail brain on top will lead you nowhere. tell me why the NASS will go and be altering the budget, removing projects and replacing them with what they like. The presidency said okay removing the paddings and I'll sign but they went to be removing projects and reducing figures and you think with your brain that the NASS is right?
Are you listening to yourself at all? Do you think PMB gave them the budget so they'll sleep on it? The fact that he pass the budget on to them shows clearly there's work they have to do on it - which they've done - yes the adding & subtracting,,

If he noticed any 'deviation', he should have clearly stated them as the reason for not appending his signature before 'running' away to far China. Now we have to await his arrival before anything else..

But you guys were the ones who hailed saraki that members of the NA are only answerable to themselves and not the party leadership. Well, this is the result when party leadership cannot whip erring members to fall in line. Do not blame apc, blame the greed of the individual members of the appropriation committee.
It will be a big mistake for the President to sign that rubbish unimplementable document!

This your comment shows your lack of knowledge on NASS and PRESIDENCY matters. Assembly doesn't have right to remove or add to the budget, rather what they have the right to do is to note irregularies in it and bring to the notice of the executives for proper amendment. How could you remove what you didn't put there? If the budget copy is all over, then try upload one for us here in Nairaland and lets go through together. Your hatred knows no boundary with baseless argument, you saw a president that is working assidously to making sure everything is alright, yet, you can't appreciate instead wailing. Well, I dont blame you, i reprimand the media that are quick to publish false reports without a bit of research. They write on every rumour they hear, wonder what has happened to our investigative journalism.

You people always speak from both sides of your mouth! When the fraudulent budget was first exposed, didn't you people ask for everyone to allow the NASS do their jobs and take out the fraudulent items? Now, you have changed again to say they cannot take out items. Such a flip flopping group of zombies you are

Anyway, for the records, there was never such item in the budget so your FG lied as usual. Sorry!

Shame on zombies, our mumu president sent a letter to the National assembly for inauguration of the Senate at that day by 10am. Then you were outsmarted by a politician who knows his onions, he utilised, timing, your immaturity combined with in depth politicking to become the Senate president, now you are there gnashing your teeth that he is not working for your progress! Where we're you when Saraki did all to betray his party for PMB's? Where we're you when the president said he doesn't have any preference for the Senate leadership? I don't think it's a crime to be ambitious like Saraki he is not a novice in the system! You stand there and ask for youths to occupy NASS, which youth, the one you provided fuel, food, water and employment for or the ones your herdsmen are killing across the country? You better think twice, that we want better country doesn't mean we should accept people like your party and PMB to lead us!

See how these so called legislators treat an issue as important as our national budget. No serious scrutiny of the document by the house!
And this is what they're paid huge sums of money to do
Why not blame the man who took all the years in the world to constitute cabinets and thus wasted all the time that could have been used to properly deliberate the budget. Doesn't it occur to you that anything done in haste will bear too many errors? Those seven months of inaction is what we are still paying for and quite unfortunately we may never recover from the lost time. It is painful that nigerians can support that the country remain shut down because the president didn't want to make mistakes. Are the mistakes not being made now?

Nigerian are never patient but talk talk talk. Why cant we just bear with President Buhari a sec. This project that is being discussed here is a continuation from Jonathan's government. Buhari is being honest with all of us but we are here criticizing him for refusing the sign a distorted budged.

Truth be told, if it were you in his shoe what would you have done after discovering that your budget has been tampered with. What would you do?

God help Nigeria!
