i personally knw it can be hard .
i myself have experienced deep depression and deep grievng in my heart. imagine how i felt when i heard my icsi procedure had to be terminated after egg collection. suddenly ( story for another day). imagine the pain of collecting injections for more than 5weeks , sometimes i could not walk because the my leg felt paralyzed from so much injections . the great hope that the procedure was coming to an end n i would soon share my testimony . only for it to be terminated at that stage
i cried n wondered y things were working against me . i cried n cried , went from my bubbly self to a shadow .. a ghost . my junior sister who had been staying with my husband n i and married from my house had just put to bed to a bouncing baby boy .
but still i have hope . and thank the Lord for he has kept me alive . women have because of ttc introduced another serious medical problems into their lives . problems that will almost or sometimes take their lives . my dh has told me of such cases (he comes in contact with them because of his work )
what did i do after the storm ... i waited for the calm . cause after every storm calm will surely come .

i know i will share my entire story soon when my testimony is made evident . so my sisters encourage ur self in the Lord

@ Neeky1, since you already have a son, I would suggest you run some tests on hormones to ascertain if they are balanced. Are you still breastfeeding? Because that at times also makes it difficult to conceive. Sorry I don't know any hospital or doctor in Lagos, but just hang on, sabi mamas will answer when they come online.

Let me try to help. Visit a hospital where d doctor will ask u questions like ur menses cycle to ensure that they are regular and about ur flow. Then ur doc shud ascertain if u still leak milk from ur breast. Test that u can do on ur own is the hvs to check for infection, then a transvaginal scan to ensure all is well with ur womb. Depending on d answers u have ur doctor, u might need to do a hormonal profile test.
Ur dear hubby shud also run a sperm count test to check for infection and to ensure the count is ok, including morphology, motility e.t.c.
Don't have an idea of any good gynae in Ikeja. Other mamas will soon come to ur aid.

Neeky1, it was on this thread or is it preggy thread I heard that LUTH has good gyneacologists. Why not try them? And see Nurse kaffy4bill to help u when u get there. She is a nairalander and works in the emergency unit of LUTH. U can pm her.

I dont think pregnacare is responsible for the longer cycle you have. Its not a hormonal drug, simply multivitamins and nutrients. I used a packet and conceived while on it as well. If you have a longer cycle while on it, I think you should blame any hormonal drugs you may be taking or other factors like stress, anxiety etc.

My sister, I was not on any other drug the cycle I was on pregnacare o. Thats the only drug I hv taken for ttc sef. N I was not stressed at all. It definately was the pregnacare. Me I didn't care if it lengthened my cycle. I only needed a Bfp. I only took one packet. Started it the last week of a certain cycle and finished it after the end of the next cycle. So those two cycles were lengthened. Dont know if my luteal phase needed lengthening. cc: Fvine.My friend got a bfp on it too but I stopped cos I was afraid of the long cycles it gv me. It is well o jare. God will grant me a Bfp.
