Now we have the deal with the fatigued players. 3 points left and no more points should be dropped if we gonna win. It's Valencia this weekend and they are battling for survival, they gonna be out there to get max point. Hmm.. I hope all turns out positive for us tho

Still have deportivo, espansol et al peeping thru the window

I am not happy how lucho blew everything up especially UCL...

I actually agree with sebod...
Psychologically, I think City will not fancy Athleti. In their heads, they have played Bayern enough times to believe they can actually beat them. Real Madrid (IMO) is team waiting to self-destruct; they have a 'non-existent' defence. Add that to the fact that Pellegrini has a point to prove against Real and (in some sense) Bayern (Pep) and his Etihad bosses, I foresee an upset if City gets to play any of these sides!

No team will fancy Atletico.

Cules whining should take a chill. Our guys are clearly fatigued. We can't win the treble every season. Athleti were clearly fitter, determined and better over both legs, and deserved to qualify. Currently, they're the team to beat; the zeal is there and they know they can go all the way to win the title. Our attention now should be on the league and our tired MSN.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Isiterere(m): 7:24pm On Apr 14, 2016
[b] There are losses and there are other losses. After much anguish and a total reflection, I came to conclusion that our recent defeats are blessing in disguise.We lost a Champions league quarter final to a better team of the two leg not Champions league final to Athletico Madrid, Bayern, Man City or our eternal rival Real Madrid. Imagine if we qualify to the final and face real madrid and real madrid win eventually? Lucho got it right last season with his rotation formula; Messi,Neymar,Suarez,Iniesta,Macherano,Busquet and Rakitic ought to have been rested before this crucial time of the seseason. Instead of Suarez, Neymar and Iniesta playing dirty, Lucho should have been the one to play dirty; by playing defensive in the second leg. There is no law or crime if Barcelona for the first time played defensively too, knowing fully well an away goal is at our disadvantages.

As for the TROLLING, it is allowed and it is part of the game. Even Eyimba can troll Barcelona right now. You can troll other club when they are down and you can be trolled too. My fear is that UN-WINNING should come to an end. Treble gone, double and single still remain, I don't want trophy less.

I am routing for the winner of 2015/2016 UEFA Champions League in this order:
MANCHESTER CITY - to create an upset and in order not to make Pep be the likely 1st winner of the cup for the team when he takes over there.
ATHLETICO MADRID - Simeone and the team deserve it.
REAL MADRID - because they are better than Bayern at this crucial stage of the tournament.[even though as a Barça fan it's a bitter pill].
BAYERN MUNCHEN - for been in the semi-final alone.

YES to winning
No to un-winning
enough is enough, double or single! trophy less sucks ;ask clubs that are used to it.

When you make your defense line crowded, it can frustrate a team not so good in attacking. Even with Barcelona attacking might, frustration usually sets in. Being defensive is part of football too.

I've been coming across a lot lately. Some say it's the defence, others say fatigue, and some have just labeled it a 'bad patch'. There's only one, I repeat ONE possible explanation to Barca's form right now after the streak. Here goes.

Things took a turn the last time we played Madrid at home. We were knocked out of formation and positional play. A Cruyff inherited technique we've followed for THREE decades now, and suddenly ... CRAP! Makes no sense.

I chose to chart my idea on a rough lineup. Key:
Blue arrows = Fullbacks' movement.
Red = Midfielders' movement.
Black = Leo's movement.

It all cracks when Leo moves to the centre, opening up the flank. Alves is BOUND to cover up and provide width. It's important to note here, Messi does NOT track back to his original position. He stays his ground behind the two forwards. This means he's NOT 'cutting' perpendicularly. He's actually playing an attacking midfielder. This is the reason why you haven't been seeing much of Alvessi lately. No quick passing or one twos. Less pace and proportionally less threat at RW. Alves is forced into that position. As soon as we lose the ball to the opposition, Alves tracks the WHOLE flank back. He gets beaten by forwards faster than him. At the Clasico, he actually put up a decent display pocketing Ronaldo the whole time, however, he was caught off guard at one moment. ONE!

Shifting to the opposite flank, Neymar has been playing his same original role, but has been drawing more defenders. That's because Leo is now at the centre marked by ONE opponent's CDM. He isn't much of a threat here. Soon as Neymar loses the ball, we find ourselves pushed down from the left. Alba's pace covers it up for him and the rest of us, but he strictly lacks physique. That's where he is beaten.

Our original midfielders with Leo drawing in, are left with little choice. They advance to populate the box in an attempt to open up the opposition's defensive lines. When they cannot, they find themselves passing the ball around it. No shots, no aerials, nothing. Why? That's because we would lose the ball that way and will have to start all over again to build up the play. Talking about Suarez as an original STRIKER here, finds himself trapped within 5 defenders with literally ZERO space. You expect him to work wonders there? Nah!

You see how a single person's movement affects the formation. We have suddenly been down to THIS without a notice. The sooner Lucho realises he needs to shift Leo back to his original RW role, the better. Just like he did last season. Those were his tactics you fans never complained about. That's because his positioning system was PERFECT! Perfect until this year's 39 games unbeaten streak, when he called it off.

People who took the time to read this rant are GOING TO observe every bit of this in the next game (let's hope we don't though), if we fail to change back. Leo is better off as a RW. Some of his goals last season came SOLELY off that position. CDR final against Bilbao and the two against Bayern to name a few prominent ones. He CUT in from that position for all 3, but NEVER left it. That's where we triumphed.

Fellow goons invade the EPL threads? bwahaha. that's one hell of a pipe dream, mate. No Barca fan finds EPL teams worthy of trolling. And you are here hyperventilating because we lost.

Well said bruv. Imagine the people trolling us. It's just insulting. How would Manure, Assnal, Chelshit, Madead be trolling us? All the aforementioned bar Madead are fighting for their lives. Madead hasn't won anything yet so nothing can be said of then, although they have a chance of winning a trophy.

Imagine they are trolling Barça who can still very well do a domestic double. People dey troll, phee low soh phee sef dey troll. People dey troll, fourphy winners sef dey troll. Chelshit? There's absolutely no need beating a dead dog. Just a waste of precious time.cheesy

They beat Bayern in one crucial game coming from two behind. Ramdeuter may call it a 'dead rubber', but I don't Pep and majority of their fans or board liked that result. So city can take heart from that at least. I'm not sure if city have played real Madrid, but they will fancy their chances - it's a one trick pony team.
I also think Bayern would take real gladly over the other two.

La liga is simply class. 4 teams in semis in europe same thing happened last season and two season ago. The knock themselves out to make it classier else we wld be witnessing all La Liga finals in UCL and EL every year.

The 2nd to 4th and 7th placed teams are alive and breathing in Europe. It shows the quality of what Spanish football is and the coefficients keep increasing until it surpasses 100,000 points.

It also shows getting into top 4 in La Liga no be beans. U can't find mediocre teams there. They are strictly hard core. Neither would you find any mediocre team in La Liga.
