I have always observed the pomp and excitement that greet the faces of corpers when they received their NYSC certificate. They portray it as if it's the major document that will give them job or give them access to heaven (for folks that believe in God). Yesterday POP and previous POPs confirmed this. You see majestic display and pose of this certificate. They snap with it using different postures known to them. But they hardly do this when they receive their certificate from the higher institution they attended. This trend set me into thinking. Is NYSC certificate superior to the certificate obtained from higher institution? Why do they accord it special recognition? Why do they celebrate it more than University or polytechnic certificate? 1 Share

Because the certificate doesn't show grade. Many corps doesn't really deserve the certificate. Many did the program by proxy or correspondence. 2 Likes |
