What Onithsa Residents Dnt Know. by Mrbigman1(op):
First things first, am from Anambra, Aguata to be precise.
I have observed this among Onithsa residents from when I was schooling in Awka to going to village during festive periods to NL.

Ndi Onithsa especially the ladies shy away from saying they reside at Onithsa for reason they re yet to come out with.
Igbo lagosian and others outside the Niger contributed immensely to this complex problems and they allowed it to root deep in them.
I stayed with my brother and my sisters at Onithsa during holidays and weekends and the only thing Onithsa lacked back den 2008-2012 was security, Night life hence no standard social life.
They call people from there Omota and it's so unfair.
Here is d catch ndi OTU and igbos or Anambarians in general.
I have gone to virtually all southern state and some part of the north west and central.

But in term of good road, Onithsa stands out.
In term of housing, Onithsa is the best to me. How can you be renting a fvcking standard 3 bedroom flat with all room of masters bedrooms size for just in a range of 100 to 200k for new houses oh @awada and omogba.
In renting this houses, you go to an estate management office and pay as low as 2-5k and varieties are shown to you to choose from that is if you don't have anyone to show you a house and give you landlord's contact. Please travel and see biko.

I work and stay in warri, but you can imagine that i get my basic foodstuffs from the east. During every festive seasons, when I travel, I pack as much as I could and preserve almost free of charge, that's so awesome Gadamnit!!!

I barely find cocoayam, utazi, bitter leave ETCs over here, a painter of equsi sells as high as 5k over here in warri but my sister buy it as low as 2k for me over there.
I dnt buy my clothes anywhere if not at main market not until the delta city mall came to life.
Reason is, I see people buying fake jeans here for as high as 3k and same Jean which is as cheap as 800 in Onithsa. When I get my Jeans at 1 thousand 8 hundred and tell friends, they say I am trying to be modest.

Alots of other benefits like lack of street life outside the motor packs, no community disturbance and awesome organisation level, very standard private schools for kids at a very very cheap price. A very standard school my sister's kids go to, this school won awards from government for its lavel of standardisation and I can see it telling on the kids; pay as low as 18k for primary school students. I can only imagine.
Honestly, if I get a lower paying job, I wouldn't think it twice than move back to the east.

Have you ever seen a nairalander with location Onithsa? They rather not put up anything because they dnt know what they have till they loose it.

Cc: Dominique, Seun
Please help move this to front page to get some criticise biko before I make my decision.
Thanks

My brother you are so right.

I spent almost all my life in Lagos but moved down to AKS few years ago.

Guess where I do most of my shopping in Nigeria: Onitsha.

They have a lot of importers and that makes everything so less expensive.

Turkey gown that is sold in Uyo for N15-N17k is sold in Onitsha for N6k.

You can get quality UK shoes in Onitsha for as low as N6k.

Quality children's clothes/shoesare also very affordable there.

The only thing I don't like about Onitsha is that they hardly speak English lol and there is a high percentage of semi-iliiterate people, especially men there.

I used lagos airport while travelling and decided to land in lagos while coming back. My companies guest house is at ogbudu GRA, one Tuesday evening, I went out to watch the champions league since dia was not power supply and I want my fuel to last till day break. What I saw was horrible my dear. A place like dat, I keep asking young folks wia I can get a viewing centre, some dnt even understand me and I dnt ve speech issue. The ones dat understand me, I failed to understand them cos dai accent was horrible.

Am not condemning anyone though but u can't tell me osha dnt speak English, east is the region u find people who speaks English freely apart fron ND states.

The major regions still preserve dia tradition rightly though.
