God bless you sir, I don't know why some Yoruba people still indulge the non Yoruba southerners (SS&SS) despite their monumental hatred for the yorubas. Any news relating to any Yoruba personality must be criticised by them, name of calling of Yoruba leaders is as cheap as sachet water yet yorubas show respect for Zik and some eminent SE/SS leaders. I think it is about time to balance this hatred, it will amuse you to know that an average Delta man will criticise Tinubu and will keep quiet about James Ibori, Edo man will leave Lucky Igbenedion and concentrate on Tinubu Ditto for a Bayelsa man. I think yorubas should stop this attitude towards them because they don't seem to appreciate it.

Just like between IGBOs and Yorubas there have always been a deep seated hatred among both tribes. In fact, there were some Scottish nationalists who sought to collaborate with the Nazis against the British government during the Second World War, quite a few were interned. These include Arthur Donaldson, who went on to become leader of the SNP from 1960 to 1969. Yet, during the IRA saga it's on records SNPs along with Scottish soldiers were instrumental in defeating the IRAs. Mind you some Scottish now regret it.
One of my advisor was a Scottish Unionist, his brother was murdered by the IRA.

Oh, I do agree the SW is capable of defeating the northerners alone. Put it this way everything is in our favour in terms of geographical location (hills, access to sea etc), wealth and many more.

Er, Fulanis aren't nationalists fighting for independence, are they? And whatever alliance Yorubas and Igbos form won't be fighting to protect naij, so Fulanis can stay, would they? Once you get the answers, you would see that there's no correlation whatsoever. Ditto the fact that Irish and most Scots, bar a few population in Southern Scotland, are from the same ethnic group - Gaelic/Celt - and are mostly Catholics. You'll understand the religious aspect once you have a proper insight into British history and the Catholic and Protestant divide.

Also, the total number of Scots in the British army that fought IRA can be more than 1,000. And all the so-called SNP folks you alluded to are mostly loyalists who used to be part of Labour. SNP just gained notoriety in Scotland recently after the IRA thing died down. Scots have always been nationalists and they have great pride in their Gaelic ancestry. So majority of them were sympathetic to the IRA cause, though they never took up arms. And a lot of them were influential in IRA just as tons of Irish Americans, who were the biggest financiers of IRA.

Anyway, based on history of the relationship between Yorubas and Igbos - Yorubas don't need Igbos for anything. The Igbo doesn't understand mutual respect, territorial integrity, and he's too domineering and boastful. Yorubas aligning with Igbos for anything would be a grave mistake and one of the greatest errors in human history. Yorubas can covertly support their Biafran cause, so everyone can go his way, and live happily after. Apart from that, Igbos are terrible partners. Yorubas should deal with their own Fulani problems alone and let Igbos do theirs separate. My 2cent. I don't have problems with Igbos ( I don't know if you are Igbo or not), Igbos just don't have the necessary tact and temperament for partnership.
