Based on this warped logic; you would build an entire petrol station FIRST, THEN get approval from DPR.

So you expect them to purchase a long haul plane for millions of dollars THEN begin to pursue approval.

When you read some comments, you know the poster is just being mischievous.

[1quote author=JingoOAU post=44716081]

For you to even fly international routes according to NCAA, you must have proven years of record in the aviation industry by first flying regional, the continent, before flying international....these are the stages in the flight business....

To even imagine that the best aircraft they have is Boeing 737-500 series(classics) which has been phased out in most countries....and same aircraft would now be deplored to fly to other countries??

I wish them well[/quote]

I actually wanted to reply u in an undignifying manner, but then, I realise you don't have to know the procedures as to licensing and acquisition of aircraft in the aviation system. I think I can say am a professional as aviation is concerned.

For you to even be given any route to fly, you must bring your aircraft for evaluation and flying time which will be carried out by tHe NCAA officials always called aircraft inspection both at the point of buying and in Nigeria.

But then, let me stop here, I don't expect you to knw anything as far as aviation is concerned

Nice!!!!

Air Peace is a nice airline too!!!

Air Peace isn't that good to me, entered one of their planes from Lagos to Enugu on 5th April 2016. The flight scheduled for 5pm didn't take off till 6 pm, we reached the Enugu airport and landing was a big problem. The plane was making a circular turn for than 30 minutes. everybody in the plane was in panic, people praying and saying to God,is this how my end will be. God please forgive my sins and accept my soul. I marked it bad to board any local flight in this country.

NB : The pilot were warned of the bad weather if they live by 6pm instead of 5 pm it was scheduled. They didn't care about our safety all they had in mind was the money they will make.
The landing tyres were faulty yet nothing was done about it,the plane still took off like that.
The rain falling @ Enugu on 5th April was very terrible, the plane attempted to land several times but couldn't.
The speed the plane was moving in while trying to keep the aircraft in balance was much faster than the speed it travelled from Lagos to Enugu.
The plane made 30 complete turnings but still wasn't able to land.

Same airline will be going international when it couldn't manage the local flight well. I fear for the passengers it will be carrying. Safety rules in our country is zero.

Hmmm, a very good development. Air peace though, hopefully they would upgrade their planes. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks air peace planes have a very wack painting job?... Planes look like they were painted with poster colour or oil paint by a roadside artist. undecided

You will need an international airport at Enugu and Peace Airline will need to overcome all the hurdles Arik overcame to bring your dream to fruition. I hope we have more international airports that truly meet world standard.
Technically, Enugu airport is an international one with a 3km runway.

But I'd like to see the runway further expanded to 3.5km, and the addition of at least 3 jet-bridges to the new international terminal.

Hopefully, the terminal will be completed this year as promised by Amaechi.

Flew medview before they commenced intn'l travels & didn't notice anything super about them!! I really don't expect much from local airlines by the way!!

Never flown Arik intn'l but people who have said it's a whole different ball game... local na hhit or miss!

whatever happened to gradual improvements over time, did other world class airports turn to their present stately qualities in a flash.
The truth of the matter is that many who hoped that the east is landlocked are not happy with this development and hypocrites are not happy whenever they are bursted for who they are.
I do not know when some people began to worry about quality for the east and at the sametime delete lagos calabar rail, campaign against second niger bridge.

whether airline or airport, there is always room for improvement and that does not mean that there are certain nigerians who hated Stella Odua and this project, hoping that we continue to use a particular airport forever but such wickedness doesn't last forever even as in the near future seaports in the southsouth will be upgraded and put to use.
Our case here is where the oppressed derive joy in oppressing themselves.

The Enugu-Atlanta route could be a goldmine for the airline if it does proper marketing, and offers superior in-flight customer service.
Its good news to know that, very soon, Nigerians would be able to travel directly from the US to the SS/SE part of the country.

Air Peace should use the B787 or B777 for the estimated 12hr 40 min flight time between Enugu and Atlanta, USA, because both planes can cover the 6,084.84 nautical mile (9,792.58km) journey without refueling.

My Baby the B777 would get the job done without stress.

You're right (obviously grin).
The Dreamliner would likely be more suitable for Air Peace with regard to load factor.
Maybe a couple of years down the line, the airline could deploy the B777 if the demand is there.

Most times when I take a look at some ppls comments on NL I realise we really far from the change we all want cos its really not in the presidents past and present but you and I.... Everyone speaking with so much hate.

Now Air Peace flying international route from the south east, its a great thing ppl are already condeming them and the president before it even commences. When something is announced like that it doesn't kick off immediately, The A380 everyone is talking about didn't just come to be it was first announced in 1994 first test flight in '05 and commercially in '07. Things don't just happen, air peace needs to meet the international standard of all these airports first( remember back then virgin Nigeria was stopped from Dubai route cos it didn't meet the UAE standard then)

If its GED or PMB that did it doesn't matter what happens is that we moving forward.

Have u looked at the location of Nigeria in the world, we kinda in the center , Nigeria should be able to have at list one of the busiest airports in the world, but we are not even the busiest in Africa.

We should be happy , its a good thing,

I hail PMB
I hail GMD
I hail OBJ
I hail Nigeria

Ain't easy to rule this country....
