The Senate President, Bukola Saraki just arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, in company of just four Senators.

The Senators are Shaaba Lafiagi – Kwara North; Senator Kabiru Gaya – Kano; Senator Rafiu Ibrahim – Kwara South and one other Senator yet to be identified.
Saraki is currently standing trial for alleged false declaration of assets and other criminal charges which the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, claimed was carried out while he was the Governor of Kwara State.

The Senate President had until now, enjoyed a large company of Senators who had been accompanying him to the tribunal in a bid to show their support.

DAILY POST has, however, noticed a significant reduction in the number of Senators that now accompanies Senator Saraki to the tribunal in the last two proceedings.

The drop in number became more noticeable yesterday when no fewer than 10 Senators where seen in the tribunal hall among whom was the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

However, noticeable in today’s proceedings is the former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs under the immediate past administration, Mr Godsday Peter Orubebe.

so you expect the entire senate to be going to the CCT to shw solidarity with him? All they need to do is to pass the new CCB act and also ensure injustice Umar is indicted by the senate committee on ethics and removed

Stop being childish. If the number of senators to accompany Saraki reduces, doesn't it send a signal? At day-one it's over 60. Yesterday it's 6. Today it's 4.

The number of senators accompanying him has now reduced drastically. It shows they're now tired or what?

Who knows whether this is the last bus stop at which the remaining four senators will be accompanying Senator Bukola Saraki, before they will now leave him (Saraki) to be on his own.

Senators like Godswill Akpabio, Ben Murray-Bruce and SS/SE Senators were shocked that while they were following Saraki to the Tribunal, Northern Senators were busy padding the budget and removing the Lagos - Calabar Railway Project and moving it to Kano.
They are now learning how to play politics like Northern politicians who will put village town halls and boreholes in a Federal Govt budget, items that meant to be in Local Govt budgets.
Thats why you wont be seeing them in the court for now with Saraki as their people have insulted them too much through their published phone numbers on the budget matter.
