Every Judge has the right, in his court, to CHARGE YOU FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT, IF HE SO FEELS.
And if the same Judge finds you guilty of contempt TO HIS COURT, he has the Powers to send you to JAIL.

This Judge is just being lenient and does not want to be distracted from the "big Picture", which is the Saraki's case.

Am sure in real life, you nor go pass School Cert, Pass or Fail!

Orubebe's Lawyer should now that Saraki's case should be mentioned before his own. The simple reason because the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners and The Legal Practitioners Act allows SAN to mentioned their case before others on seniority. When Agabi became a senior advocate Larry was in the Law school.
Larry should respect himself and his profession. He should not be an Orubebe.

Orubebe's Lawyer is very wrong. Saraki's Lawyer Kanu Agabi who took in 1997 must hear his matter before that of Selekowei Larry who was called to the bar in 1992. The Judge also has a discretion over which matter is to be heared in a particular day.

pls, refer me to the place where the rule says when a SAN is appearing for a matter, every other should not be heard again.
Read his complaint again and see his position. it is not a matter of hearing order, it is about foot dragging Orubebe's case and facing other trials. I thought Agabi applied for adjournment yesterday and the corrupt judge refused?

It is becoming increasingly obvious that Justice Umar is either being biased or he is being controlled by some persons.

He hurriedly annonuced that Saraki's case would be heard everyday forgetting that he has other cases deserving hearing in some of these days. Now he's choked up.

What will happen tomorrow, would he still adjourn Orubebe's case or would he decline that of Saraki after stating that he would hear it every other day?

Oh I get it, u mean Selekeowei was called in 1992 ?

But that doesn't mean that other persons trial shouldn't be heard again.
I was in court yesterday and I witnessed cases being heard despite the fact that the A.G Akwa Ibom had matters.
The rules only talk about order of hearing and not that the court must short out other matters until a particular matter is heard in that court. u mean if Saraki's matter takes 1yr, no body will be given right of audience again, just because your people want him to be jailed quickly for challenging Tinubu a.k.a yellow teeth?
