The Rivers State Governor, Barr.Nyesom Wike has sacked the caretaker chairmen of the local government areas of the state with immediate effect.
He directed them to hand over to head of human resources of their various councils.
Recall that all of the sacked chairmen were known people of dubious and criminal elements.
A cross section of Rivers People and Residents accused the thug-like Governor of demeaning governance at the grassroot by appointing people of questionable characters to be CTC chairmen, using the LGAs as a means of settling His boys who worked and delivered Him during the polls.
Many of the sacked CTC chairmen were well-known militants, cultists and general lovers of crime
It may interest you to know that Gov.Wike sacked the duly elected LGA chairmen barely few days of been sworn in as the state executive. The matter is still in the courts.

Not at all. Afterall most of them delivered during the botched legislative rerun polls in the state.
but I think just like their Oga, many of them have taken to broad day light embezzlement of their council funds with months of unpaid salaries outstanding.
Even at that, the Governor illegally allowed them to stay in office almost two months aside their due duration

Even at that, who took the matter to court?
And whose interest did the court act on?
It is only in Rivers State that such confirmed bought judgement could stand till date.
Wike did same thing with the court judgement that brought in the state PDP chairman, Bro.Felix Obuah in an election that He never contested.
