Nice one. Fortitude has a complex plot as well as several major characters. It requires your absolute concentration and patience to keep up, but as a mystery and slow burner, it's quite addictive.

Believe me this show is far from perfect, but I keep tuning in for the snark & the lead actress makes some rather funny & interesting facial expressions.

I haven't seen an interplanetary sci-fi Television series in the calibre of Battlestar Galactica yet. Firefly had some promise, but they axed it. Andromeda never quite lived up to full potential. Stargate Atlantis & SG-1 were both great, but didn't quite measure up. The Expanse started well, but it's early days. Star Trek... meh. Dr Who... the CGI leave a lot to be desired.

...oh!

The Fringe! Now that's one helluva SFF.

Dude, but everyone who acted as test subjects suffered from the same symptoms.

I believe they ensured diversity while conducting the test.

The show didn't even mention that body chemistry was a factor. If it were so, they would have rounded up everyone who were most likely to suffer less and made them NZT geniuses.

maybe the side effects on the long run are the same for all the subjects, but we've seen 3 different people react in 3 different ways to the drug.
Rebecca's reaction is the least, but that could just be because Brian noticed it and asked her to go see a doctor.

The series goes deep into the US politics. Hell, the president is Obama look like. Dealings with other nations is always mentioned, most especially the Pakistan government. You also get Military Scenes and quotes.

Hence, the series didn't get a second season..but it was blamed on something else, but we know..we all know why.

The show is coated with comedy and deeped in seriousness.

My advice? Watch it.

Any different from Commander-in-Chief?
