Google is your friend , I just did that also last night and it was through google I found out , so pls google it

You are going the wrong way, try using your css to insert it in your stylesheet

Edit the CSS file of the theme, just search for the logo style , then do the necessary adjustment from there. You then upload your logo to the directory stated in the CSS file.

how pls throw more light on that coz am not understanding google explanation

save ur logo in the theme folder where the main stylesheet reside

then do this

<a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>"><img src="<?php bloginfo( 'stylesheet_directory' ); ?>/logo.jpg" width="150" height="150" alt="logo" /></a>

replace logo.jpg with the name of ur file. the width and height attribute can be omitted.

NOTE: use this only on custom themes or child themes else ur modifications will be overwritten when u update the theme.

what wordpress theme are you using?

am using charis lite theme

go to ur theme option and look for the general settings, u will see the url of the logo that comes with the theme including the upload button, the size and all. U can then upload urs and save...

Period.

Mind you some themes will not feature directly on ur dashboard but u might need to go and check ur appearance then the option.
