Even without salary or any form of payment. People like me will still go to NDA and become an officer........... A real soldier don't fight because he hate what's in front but because he love what he left behind......... The army need to be restructured with men with real passion for the job not for the pay. Counter reasoning should not quote me. Because u must be for me or against me if u r for me u r right but if you are against me u have to die
I support what you've said buh these soldiers also have families who have to feed and be catered for... also there's something called motivation. how will you be motivated to fight for your country when these your family who you're fighting for to enjoy the peace is not faring wellhuh

why NDA I tot u should go to the depot were true soldiers are born u just come here to talk without understanding what is obtainable in the Nigerian Army do u know what it means when u stand in the front line of war at the same time u are thinking of what will become of ur family should anything happen to u? just so u know there is no worst thing as bin a widow to a military man in nigeria. not like in the US where u will be happy to die knowing ur family will be care for even beta dan u may have done. so who ever u are don't say of something u don't know I bet ppl like won't survived depot a week.

For your information my dad died in active service as a brigadier general. I was in ss3 then. So I know what it feels. That didn't kill my morale. Even though after knowing what we passed thru after dads death. I was a 300l medical student in a private uni. When I opted for NDA. That never killed my morale of joining the military. Even though I am the only son. It still goes back to the fact that some of us love dz job with passion. Not for the money. Lemme answer u. The question is. Dz soldier complaning , were they not paid their normal salary? And the 2nd question z is it too late for them to be paid their allowance? Allowance r just extra stipend not ur normal salary. I don't know abt depot. But I know we take oath in NDA after matriculation. Just like doctors and other professionals take their oaths

The question that needs to be asked is. Are they denied their normal salary? And is it too late to be paid d allowance. Allowance are extra stipends its far from the salary

humans are social animals that are motivated by incentives. hungry brings out the animal nature in people. so no matter what passion one possesses hungry supresses all. learn that
The question z are they denied their normal salaries? And z it too late to be paid the allowance.

How much do u think a soldier's normaal salary is? And they're being denied their right to their allowance. Is that right?

Very inconsistent fella! Your dad died as a Brig. gen and bla bla bla... We are here talking about recruits who are no officers. They have no comprehensive and working life assurance, no after death package, even the gratuity isn't available (ask many recruit pensioners). You come here to spew trashes. It's never your fault, your self-proclaimed profile had done alot in proving how ego-centric and bloated you are. I hope you have another lies and rubbishes to disburse in defense of your ignorant self. #Don't quote me, I won't reply you. I am not a soldier, neither any of my family member. I just hate our government playing propaganda with innocent lives of our gallant men (Recruits)

Am not in place to tell u DAT. But I will tell u its smfin good. And if u live within ur means. As an officer u will live very comfortable although u might not be very very rich and as a personnel (recruit). Ifnu live within ur means. Its OK and u will live as an average nigerian... I cant tell u the actual amount on social media here although

Unpaid salaries or allowance is not a new thing in Nigeria. In short, its a balanced diet. Imagine you telling your neighbour that you are been owed 4months, the next thing you hear from your neighbour is "4months kpere! and you are not dancing shoki", As for me am being owed 7months.

. U shouldn't have used the adjective egocentric or bloated when u didn't want me to quote you. Anyway wah will I say u have the rights to ur word as far as social media is concerned. And I won't exchange words with you here because when you give someone a gift and he didn't take it, the gift still remain yours. And for your information u don't know men and I don't know u. So those adjective are far too costly than want u think. Peace

Good day all,

In the wake of recent comments about the Nigerian military on this and all other threads, I have been forced to open up.

The new government is facing an uphill task in trying to re-brand the Nigerian Security Services. Mind you, I am no ardent political supporter and I have never cast my votes for any politician. But truth be told, there has been an enhanced vigor in the war against terrorism by the Nigerian Security forces.

What they actually need are our support and prayers (not just repudiations for their failings). Some of you have been so negative that I sincerely doubt you really mean well for this country. The truth still remains; you might not even perform as well as the average Nigerian Soldier fighting for us in the war-torn North-east.

Instead let us come together to proffer solutions to our country's security problems. The failures of the past democratic administrations is what has led to the mess (security-wise) we have found ourselves.

Let each and everyone of us remain security conscious, even if you live in the south-west. The world is evolving really fast and security has become a collective community responsibility.

I would also advise the Nigerian Security Forces to open a website where useful info may be lodged that could lead to the arrest of errant vandals, terrorists (those liars masquerading as herdsmen are terrorists in the real sense; I am too smart to fall for those "herdsmen" talk).

Also, I would suggest constant training be provided for all members of the Nigerian Security Services. They should be constantly reminded that the average citizen ought to be protected and not battered. Those involved in mauling helpless citizens should be tried/court-martialed and summarily dismissed/dishonorably discharged.

Once again, quit your childish ramblings about APC and PDP. These threats know no party affiliations. They have been present since the PDP got into power and they still persist till today.

Thank you all

I would ve passed but seeing the maturity you displayed here, I must say I'm impressed! Never the less, never at any time compare ur dad and what ur family passed through at his demise as a general to what the families of other ranks are passing through!

Ur generals sit in a/c office, dishing out orders and condeming those who dare to voice their opinion to death! Then collect fat pays while other ranks suffer and suffer to earn peanuts!!

Pls do we have diferrent markets for officers and other ranks in Nigeria?

If not, why the large pay disparity between 2nd Lt(baby officer) and Warrant Officer of 35yrs in service?

Pls wish ppl only that which you will be happy to receive!!!

No mind d fellow.......in my subsector, lots of fighters are been owed their ops allowance ranging from 2,3 and some for 4 months now.same account they used in receiving the first time they paid ops allowance through E-payment.suffering under the scorching sun of the northeast, entering landmine and ambush...surviving all these odds just to be owed is simply...........
