HopeAtHand: yorubaman, Driving Taxis in PH and speaking Ikwerre doesn't make you one. Don't just make noise here, go on the streets of Pitakwa(Igweocha) and organize an Anti-IPOB rally, that'll speak volume than the useless spittle you are throwing around here. Go test the popularity of your views on the streets. Noisemaker! 7 Likes |

christopher123:yes oh bro. I really dispute. But before we argue, I need to under the premise you standing on. You are invariably saying that these igbos are of greater population than other tribes in the SS ? That was the submission I countered. The presence of minority igbo tribes amongst the major ones in SS , isn't a big deal. But sayin the igbos are in majority there, then we will argue that to the pits of hell |

1Tkester:I rather stand alone , than have a followership of the rot and uneducated scum in igboland. People who can't reason for themselvess. People who when they have stomach ache, it must be buhari. Shame on u lots. I know the igbo I come from. We are a family of class and thus would not undertake national matters like you zombies have done. The ipob agenda is currently dead. Where are the riots, nnamdi is langushing in prison. Where are his supporters. If he comes out alive , he will barely bew able to stand and speak talk less of leading his throng of fools and nobodys who think national issues are spare parts trade |

MirabelArode: The Ikwerre i come from, the one i uphold and brandish with swagger in the streets of PH detest a single tolerance for IPOB, Biafra and to an extent, IGBO. I think it is right, reasonable and moral for Igbos speak on the behalf of Igbos. Igbos cannot and should not be opinion makers for the SS. If Delta Igbos want to talk, they should say Delta Igbos and not SS. The SS is very diverse and anyone representing any ethnicity should speak mainly for his group. That shouldn't be too hard. 2 Likes |

I want to commend the op 4 coming up with a thread like. But it is obvious that bigots will always be bigots and will never reason rationally. They will keep hurting themselves in order to disrupt their perceived enemies. They lack vision and will forever remain stagnant because they will never listen to superior arguments. Instead, they will start throwing invectives about when confronted with such. The best I can do is laugh when I read their posts because it lacks reason. Though I like being a Nigerian, I feel a united southern Nigeria will favor every southerner more than he/she will care to admit. Every region in southern Nigeria is already contributing immensely to the nation and still filled with vast untapped potential. From the business capital west Africa in SW Nigeria to the industrial hub in SE to the oil rich SS region, our capability is amazing if only we can put our perceived difference aside. Though the north is more richer than the south in terms of resources, they are still an albatross dragging the south backwards. Most northern leaders are simply selfish and intentionally leave their people poor and uneducated for their own political interests. So that they can be easily manipulated. But this manipulation doesn't stop up north. They are still manipulating southerners and making us suspicious of each other. Until we unite, nothing will happen. Only continuous internet rants. 1 Like 1 Share |

HopeAtHand: More trash, IPOB have proven their worth on the streets of Igweocha with swagger, you on the other hand hide behind anonymity to claim SS hate IPOB but love yorubas. You can't organize a simple 10-man Anti-IPOB rally to prove your point, only mouth action. Mr yoruba stop trying too hard, Just concentrate on your taxi job in Igweocha, so you can get a piece to eat. 7 Likes |

clevadani:this is why no matter the abuses and attacks I receive by people of unfounded hate, I still come back and post my opinion because no matter what there will always be grain amongst the chaff. Thanks for being a grain and exposing further arguements on the subject matter. A united south is easier and a more concieveable nation than tiny landlocked break aways if every body went state by state. Even the SS aren't keen on an alliance withe the SE. We have more in common than differences . With access to water ways and immesnse potential for industrialzation and attendant trade. The sky is the limit for a united south |

Realman87:but he is. Its because of kanu that the igbos online are regarded as children of hate, it because of kanu that you all never see reason to even help yourselves, its because of kanu that youths who should be the future of the nation are carrying hatreds of misconceptions from wars some of their fathers never fought. Its because of kanu that you all are looking backward at percieved itt treatment instead of doing something about it in a way in conformity with 21st century politics. You talking violence in a world where violence is avoided at all costs |

HopeAtHand: Maybe your parents have lied to you about who your real father is. There is no "romance" between Igbo/or the so-called South-South phrase coined by Fulani, but rather Brotherhood because the Easterners/Midwesterners are that. Even Queen Eliza that gave you the Ni.ggaa Area name can tell you. Maybe you have not been living so long because in 2015 Nigeria witnessed the obvious during the useless election- the alliance between Northerners and their servants in the Slave Coast-aka Oduduwa-aka Southwest, designed to continue with the loot of resources from the East/Midwest. If you cannot reason then you are a lost cause, or maybe, just maybe, you are Yoruba posing as those East of Ore 4 Likes |

I think the SS and SW and the rest of the south (besides the well known tribal supremacists) should come together like the north did to confront corruption and disregard for the people shown by our politicians. Be it APC, PDP, Labour, whatever acronym they come under, we must be united and tell those politicians to do as we say or face our wrath. Enough of this religious and political blame game. 1 Like 1 Share |

MirabelArode: You spoke of only Oba of Lagos, what of Fashola who was deporting Igbo's in Lagos for no reason? What of the omo onile who go to the igbo traders shop at night to demolish it and loot their goods or the arsonist that burn market populated by the igbos. The truth is that the igbos don't have any atom of hatred for the SW but the SW always feel threatened about the presence of the igbos, hence their attitude. The two can't and will never come as one cos of this. So the alliance the OP is talking of is DOA. I personally don't have anything against the yoruba people but that's just the truth......at least let's be telling ourselves the truth no matter how bitter it is 6 Likes |

Eddygourdo: With the continued carnage and bloodshed happening around it is almost certain that this country is heading nowhere. It is preposterous to even think that the proposed United South will work. Past and current events in the country should give a hint that the United South as a proposed country is a farce. Just take a glance at various comments posted daily on Nairaland; even when some folks know that something is bad and evil they would still support it to spite a supposed enemy. In a referendum, all you have is a vote and so is the other fellow. Let every group of people answer for themselves. Two cannot walk together except they agree. There is no need flogging a dead horse on this issue. 5 Likes |

Eddygourdo:Its refreshing reading your post and trying to punture the arguments of these and sometimes very unreasonable bigots. Its very difficult to hear even a tiny voice of reason these days especially on Nairaland and on social media. I was born, brought up and still live in the SS and it is quite laughable when I see things like SESS when in theory, it doesn't exist. The perceived unity being forced on the SS by the Igbos is based on their inability to see the gross incompetence which was Goodluck Jonathan. A man who was installed as president by a Yoruba man. And also access to the sea and oil in case of seccession. What some bigots do not understand is that such seccession can not occur if the south doesn't present a united front. Instead we would continue to lose and the northern elite would continue to enrich themselves while we keep fighting an imaginary war. Just look at the bugdet brouhaha(the removal of the southern rail line) for example. 1 Like |
