I have. An EOD. But i never noticed if it was removable or not while the engine is running. I'll try with the one at home

Mine is 2.2 and d key can be removed while d ignition is on,or while the engine is on. I think d ignition needs replacement.. Though it doesn't affect the car in any way.

Thanks for the confirmation just so ppl know it's not a major fault. Due to usage the constant constant contact with the ignition files the key and makes it thin in a way hence the ability to be taken out while the car is running. Key / ignition needs to be changed.

It's a fault and your car might not have the same issue so don't try it. No one intentionally removes the key so people usually find out by mistake.
