There's an adage in igbo that says ''if you want to chop frog, it's better you chop a fat one so that when they call you a frog eater, you'll proudly answer.. ....'' that's the problem with the common thief, our environment reacts with aggression to the common thief but adores and worships the treasury looter, why? The looter is chopping a big frog, heck, it's a mammoth frog they chop there..... .. I used to tell my friends that if at all I'll be a cultist, I'll opt for ogboni and the likes where I can sacrifice one member my family, make excess money and later bear the consequences instead of join all these street cults and yet get massacred when war and clashes begin........ But in the end, eternal damnation awaits all who tow the evil path, my people be warned!! !

neither of the TWO( common thief & treasure looter) is better than the other

a thief remains a thief and is bad and a looter remains a looter which is also bad

their end result both inflict pain on their victims

the only "badder" thing i see here is the society...the way they treat this two is not fair justice

if the manner and behaviourer pattern of society toward the so called looters didnt change..neither will the looters themselves think of changing

Moderators, I saw this pic on facebook and I thought it wise to share. Please help push this pic to front page and let us all educate Nigerians on why they should stop jungle justice and advise handling culprits over to the police..

Thanks and good morning...

I strongly condemn any form of killing as a Christian, am disposed to the fact that anyone can become transformed. However, the root cause jungle justice lies with judiciary and the law enforcement system. A compromised justice system would embolden citizens to take law into their hands, as they no longer have faith in the system.

I tend to agree with you bro as regards our justice system, but it shouldn't define the fact most petty thief steal for one reason or the other. Only the law enforcement can fathom that fact...

Makes sense though, what if the big frog eaters are the motivators of the small frog eaters just because they were not judged accordingly?

Nice school of thought, then the small frog eater judging by the trend of aggression meted on them, should know that motivation is not enough, they deserve immunity just like their pot bellied counterparts

Yes many in public services, government institutions, in governments offices, many leaders, and so on in Nigeria stole and looted a lot. This is clearly known to the world. They did these and also use the money they looted and stole to bribe the judges, to get the so called best lawyers, many even gave part of the stolen and looted public and private (like banks' money) money to their pastors, to escape justice, to crush the charges against them.
The possibility of Nigeria moving forward is too small. Why? See many people stole and looted in Nigeria and became so rich, they bribed the judiciary, by this I mean they bribed most of the judges and got the services of the so called best lawyers to escape justice. Here we see that the judiciary is corruption and sitting upon the progress of Nigeria. Also almost all pastors in Nigeria who are false of course received their own share of the loots one way or another to build their camps and so on and these pastors are praying for these thieves and looters and even anointing them to go and get more prosperity and escape justice, and all these false pastors are sitting on the progress of Nigeria. Many kings also as I have explained about the others are also sitting upon the progress of Nigeria. Many that are writing in the news media are still praising and supporting the looters and thieves and corruption, upon all those people did against Nigeria and Nigerians, and all these who are still praising those looters and thieves are also working against the progress of Nigeria.
Also see and hear what many in Nigeria are still saying and writing about the past government and governments who also finished Nigeria had it not been for God who helped us and see and hear what they are saying and writing about the present government who is trying as much as they know and could to clear the mess that is on ground.
These show that most of us in Nigeria don't have the sense of justice, truth, mercy, good and righteousness, these also shows that those who do not know good nor want good for us in Nigeria ( and even in Africa) are far more than those of us who want good for all.
So progress is almost impossible.
So unless those among us who are evil, who are far more than those who are made good by God turn from their evil ways, and only then will God help and bless us
