This table is here for all as a reliable to a large extent template for the population of Nigerian states relative to each other. By this table, Lagos is number one, followed by Kaduna, followed by Oyo and etc. If we work with the assumption that Lagos is 20 million people, any student of mathematics can use proportions to derive the population of each Nigerian state, then determine the population of Nigeria as at 2014. What you will arrive at will not be too far from the reality.

This population could come from people who are repeating the said exam, because they failed at previous years.

This is highly falwed.

The population of Lagos was the highest yet the percentage of those passed in Anambra state was higher than Lagos state.

What happened to those people that failed in Lagos, won't they join next year.?
The people that failed and are repeating in Lagos, won't their population be more than those in ANAMBRA?

I believe number of retakers can not be substantial, it does not hinder to any reasonable extent what this statistics can be used for ,being negligible or fairly constant.

State of origin is good for data but not good for planning. It does not give us the population of states which is what we need. What do you need state of origin for? Though I too will like to see it.
