Hello people.

Hope everyone is doing well. Plz oo how do I create a profile account for express entry? Also, does anyone know any province that's still open for nominee program. Thank you
New Brunswick, PEI, are the open ones right now. But you have to send EOI to them.
Most people are waiting for whenever Ontario starts sending PTs. Hopefully by may/June.
Sask. Is open for international graduates with Sask Experience.
I only know about provinces that don't require job offer, etc

Hello All,

Have you heard of the inferno that befell the beautiful city of Alberta? 61,000 persons are evacuating the city to allow for fire service to put out the fire that engulfed that city within the week.

May they find peace in this trouble times.

Hi guys, as a silent follower of this thread for the past couple of months, I'd like to say forums like this are worth a 1,000 migration consultants.

I got the "Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa" e-mail today after exactly 6 months since AOR. Many thanks to ALL contributors to thread...

To those still waiting, keep the faith guys, nothing is impossible. Best wishes everyone!

I am so happy for you. I am also a nurse and I have the eligibility to write the Canadian Registered Psychiatric Nursing Exam in Manitoba. It has been a bit difficult to write the exam outside Canada. Can I get help like you already have?
Munageez:
I am a Nurse here in Nigeria. I completed registration and licensing with College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, which is the major prerequisite for most of the nursing jobs posted, then, I applied for jobs, got interviewed. When my interviewer understood that I am not from Canada and would need a work permit, I was assigned to an external recruiter who proceeded with my case and told me to apply through BC provincial nominee program which they use for foreign workers. I signed a full time permanent job offer, he concluded everything on their part and sent me all the document I needed to apply for the BC PNP and urged me to apply as soon as possible.
I applied for BC PNP, got nominated and was sent a nomination certificate and work permit support letter with instructions on what to do next. So, now, I have applied for work permit and PR. As soon as my work permit is issued I will go to Canada and start working while I wait for my PR.
In one of the email my recruiter sent to me, he informed me to apply for Upfront medical before submitting my work permit online but I don't know how I completely forgot, I guess it's because I was so overwhelmed with making both applications and trying to do everything right. The timeline for work permit shows 3 months. I hope they request for my medical soon and give me a form for it. If I had done upfront medical I wouldn't be waiting for instructions now. I feel so stupid. My recruiter has been writing me to ask how I am coping with the application and the manager that interviewed me have been in contact too wanting to know how I am faring with everything because they can't wait for me to start.
It was a long process but I was patient. Especially getting the nursing license. I also got advice from Nurses who have gone through the process, one of them decided to start a blog about the whole process to help other nurses through the process. I don't know if it's ok to post the link to the blog here.
I have 3 other employers from different regions in BC offering me jobs but I have already chosen this one.
It was a long journey but I'm glad I'm close.

Hello Munageez,

You can raise a case specific enquiry (CSE) : https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

I hope this response isnt too late

@ejirostephen

I have been on the look out for any Naija on SINP PNP and I am happy to see you here.

My SINP EE Stream application was on 5th January 2016 and now ''In process''.

Do you know how long it will take for this status to change?

I know is a patience game and I have enough.
My CRS points today is 1020!

My Saskatschewan nomination gave additional 600 points.

If you can apply to this program, you are home and try for CIC application submission because only Upfront Medical and Police Clearance Cert are the two documents to add.

It very tasking and voluminous especially when you work. They ask for all the docs you'll need for CIC in case get ITA.

Guys, its not been easy. The first thing I (and wifey) did was WES (June, 2015), next we did was IELTS (July), next created EE profile (Sep 2015, CRS 420), and in Jan 2016 applied SAKS Provincial nominee. Nominated this May 2016.

My application has a total of 5 people. This program helped get every documents I'll ever need in place, even the ones I issued abroad I've gotten them all.

Patience is all I need for the next phase (post ITA).

This blog has been very instrumental. I got most of the information I wanted here and I shall continue to give back here.

Thanks y'all

Without knowing the details of your Applications, I don't think anyone can help. What reasons did they give for refusing you?
Unfortunately the post office guys are yet to deliver the documents I used for my last application and I have not been in town to go there myself. But when I called CIC the guy that picked said something about my education as the reason why I was refused.

It was kinda strange cos I submitted my WES document. The only thing I feel might be their reason is probably because I studied Agricultural Science but my work experience in IT field as a database Analyst (5 years experience).

Munageez:
Good day everyone,
I recently Applied for Permanent residency through the BC Provincial Nomination. Also, because I have a job offer, I was also given a Work permit support letter with my Nomination Certificate. I have also applied for a work permit, however, I have not done medical exam yet. I thought I was supposed to get instruction from CIC to go for medicals like they sent for Biometrics. However, I was reading through the past email from the recruiter that is on my case and I discovered that I should have done an upfront medical before submitting my online work permit application. So, I want to know if I can still go ahead and do the medical before I get instruction from CIC. I do not want my application to be delayed. It's been 3 weeks since I submitted it.
Anyone who has submitted online work permit application, how did you go about it?
Please colleague, kindly show me how to start applying. I will appreciate the step by step process of your application as a registered nurse. Migrating to Canada have always been in my mind but I do not know the right path to follow.

I thought your last application was via EE? What documents are they sending to you again?
Anyways, I doubt your degree being different from your work experience resulted to your refusal.
You need to study the reasons properly and try again.
