HIGHESTPOPORI:Benin Ore road was not constructed last year. President Buhari is comparing this year's budget with that of last year. |

Pidggin:Buhari did not mention GEJ. I think he was trying to give Nigerians hope by telling this year's budget for roads is far higher than that of last year. He didn't mention GEJ. |

Bassee:Jonathan did not always budget 18 billion for roads. It was only last year he budgeted that little amount due to austerity measures. |

Pwayne2016:This tribal simpleton above me needs to be seriously cautioned. How can you say you wanted the plane of a president to crash on social media? You may disagree with the man, that's your opinion but wishing someone dead? Would you wish for your father's plane to crash? Some people are just brain dead because of hate. |

omokab:So u have made sense now. Without capital where do u get the goods to transport ? When in the history of Nigeria has anyone challenged the cost of a road contract awarded and the contractor refunded? How do u measure the worth of the 78million naira person website of fashola? Is unemployment on the rise because of roads? Is inflation 13% because of roads? Are businesses folding because of roads? All u can do is shout that it's outrageous but nothing will happen. As long as the people are nt empowered to create employment, build roads from here to London economic activities will still slow down. |

Bubu has always been a divisive figure both in and out of power,so it's not suprising history is repeating itself.....What I expected this govt.to do was to first reconcile the nation and galvanise the pple into one and behinde it,but instead he makes statement that brings more of division than reconciliation. It doesn't matter how much he wants to wish it a way Jonathan wil always have those that supports him period...This is the time to heal our nation with words and not to divide it. |

idensko:Abeg shut up, where are the roads GEJ rehabilitate? The same bad road that his wife's mother (not real mom though) died on? I am very sorry for politicians that play with projects. They did a lot of damages and show no concern to education sector then take their children and wards to overseas schools, they abandoned the bad roads and fly planes forgetting that God was watching them. They simply forget that one of their family member might still ply the same bad road they failed to do . Na u be d overall mumu. Even ur sense don corrupt. U think u can come up here and just spit rubbish from your garbage called mouth to garner likes. GEJ budgeted 18bln Naira for road wey people go dey use only shows dat he has no feelings or value for human lives. Dat fool saying there was job during GEJ was a bigger fool, I am so sure he himself had no job during that time. Economy during GEJ only favoured the rich few. GEJ budget never created enough jobs as speculated, there were too much gaps on Job creation in his time. The rich few monopolised market and every other available stuff. Example was Dangote. Another example was corrupt politicians he gave so much power to, they thrived in corruption. Only one person had about 20 to 40 properties, they drove most expensive cars, have more 30 exotic cars at the detriment of the poor masses. And you call that kind of weak person a good President? Common man, remember he even Left Boko Haram to deal with people and thousands of lives lost. Abeg GEJ messed up big time for being so weak. A woman in his cabinet used N250 million on bullet proof car and he still left her in office to continue stealing. Importers turned Nigeria to refuse ground they can bring in any unwanted stuff in overseas and sell here at cheaper rate. It was a good move when the ever courageous Buhari ban importation of some products we should be producing here locally. When you ban importation prices of stuff in the market are tend to high so use your brain. Thank God uncle jona no win, because if he still remain as president, Nigerians for suffer pass what they are currently facing under Buhari. Because, GEJ spent a lot of money on that election he lost woefully. If he had won, his first move would have been to try rake all the money he spent on the election back and thereby subjecting Nigerians to abject poverty. |

Why won't he try to construct/repair more roads. After all grazing bill is still b4 national assembly, with dat his terrorist alike brethren-fulani can travel with dia cattle to every corner of dis country to perfect dia evil plans, but dat will not work by God's grace |

mekaboy:this would create more jobs in the construction industry hence more money for the average Nigerian. it also means indirectly investing in the people, there is also a social welfare scheme in the budget. what Nigerians should be concerned about is ensuring the document is made available/public in pdf format so that we could access it and also monitor it implementation |

You are talking about roads that's why I responded to you like that. All the same, budget have been signed and money will be release to the system therefore it will bring back the construction company's back to work and people will get job. Construction company is one of the largest employer in this country. There are some other measures put in place to encourage employment but let's wait till budget implementation before narration. |

While the Post topic is very misleading,, I think there's a need to constantly remind Nigerians how we've been saved from GEJ's disastrous Rule.. and kicking him out of ASo rock was the best decisions Nigerians made. |

Go challenge fashola for the website if you like. But inflation rise because of rots created by d previous govt and also because of the policy of CBN. And also CBN feels that's the best they can do because things were not done right during past govt. The truth is, if past govt have done well enough, inflation wouldn't have rise. If Nigeria for example have been empowered to produce locally instead of importing we would have a better Nigeria and Buhari would have continue from where GEJ stopped. It was because GEJ govt policy on importation was rubbish that was why Buhari govt had to bring new method to curb Importation of some products we can produce and every new policy of govt stimulates the economy either positively or negatively. Ban on importation will increase the inflation in a normal circumstance but will stabilise the economy in the long run. We can't keep importing everything if must develop. You think its easy to right a wrong? Talk-less of plenty wrongs? |

1 Somebody sponsors' baba's election. 2 Baba appoints him works, aviation etc minister. 3 Baba budget N200b for road alone under that ministry with oil price still below $50. 4 Somebody just settles somebody codedly. |

donphilopus:Please don't be blinded by sentiments, those accidents you mention were not caused by bad roads. In the minister's case, the tired pulled off while the other one was as a result of the careless herdsman with his cows. I'm not a wailer nor a zombie, let's let go the fight. Although GEJ was not flawless but let us appreciate his little effort. Buhari is now our President and so let's support him and wish him well. If Buhari performs better than Gej, it would not be so because he is better off than Gej rather it would be because he learned from the mistakes of the past governments. I'm sorry if I have insulted in any way, thanks, one love. |
