I'm sure that some people will be happy about this due to the perpetrators' ethnicity but let me just warn everyone here that everytime a Nigerian commits this sort of crime- fraud and international people trafficking included- they put a black mark on our country's name. Whilst you're sitting at home blaming this tribe or the other, foreign nations are actively denying Nigerians visas or treating them with disdain due to our bad reputation.

I predicted that someone would foolishly come up with this argument. Do you honestly believe that Nigerian drug trafficking is committed by the Igbos alone? What about fraud and people trafficking- is that dominated by the Igbos too? I used to believe the propaganda that was and is still being promoted on Nairaland about the Igbos but then I decided to use my brain and actually do some research into the Nigerian criminal underworld. What I found would be of interest to you and many on here. If foreign countries were to listen to your advice and criminalise Nigerians based on their ethnicity alone, trust me, it would not be the Igbos who would suffer the most from it.

That is not the point here.
Every human is involved in crime... even the highly cultured Japanese have their fair share of criminality.

The issue here is proportion and frequency. If we only hear of news like this once in a month, I wouldn't even be complaining.
But we can get up to three to four such news in just one week of igbos being caught in one drug push run or the other, not to talk of those who were not caught! and you are here still saying that to me?

Hian. I am not even Ibo and I am not a fan of tribalism either. I actually support the death punishment, by hanging of the balls, for drug and corruption related offences. Most of your posts have tribalism written all over it. If you can criticize Ibos, you just have to understand that every tribe is into crime. Even the northerners aren't left out.

But I do agree with you on the fact that Ibos always seem to get caught. Na only dem waka come?

Am not an Ibo guy but I can see my pple are having fun and insulting the generality of millions of pple just because of few individuals!

Well, there's a saying in Edo that it is the King's son that make pple to insult the King!

What this guys did is bad and must be condemned by all meaning individuals and let them be used as a deterrent to others!
