football is never a dangerous sport..looking at statistics and how many players play week in week out..we have maybe 1 death in 6months or 1 year.. you call that dangerous? 1 in maybe 10000??

anybody can die anytime.. so dont hinge it on football. probably he had a medical condition that wasnt detected or managed. same way people slip and fall while walking.

Today, I went out to play football since it was Saturday and it's been months since I played. I am on medication for malaria. At some point my breathing became labourer like had something choking me. I just walked out of the game and went to lie down somewhere before someone else will tell my story for me.

It is well.

You a right. A few months back here in Lagos, someone slumped and died right there on the pitch in one of these our local neighbourhood matches. It was a very terrible experience. From playing to dying in a split second. Rest in peace bro.
