One effective way to stop this stupidiy is to condition state economy- employment %,dept %, capital expenditure, growth, security- on the years the governers are allowed to run. If after a two years the governer does not meet a set minimum, federal government should boot him out, otherwise he gets two more years. This way the governor buffoons (most) will quickly be identified and removed before they cause more damage, but also they will have the incentive to perform and by extension serve and promote welfare of their people. Unforunately even the cattle herder from Daura would fail on this two year yardstick. Aaa, well, well,.......what else can one do apart from shrugging shoulders in resignation? Lets have the fulani herdmens, millitants, boko haram, kidnappers, armed robbers, rappists and skin bleacher run the show then as we regress towards the north! |

The reckless governors know themselves. Nigerians know them, Efcc knows them but they keep saying immunity shields these set of criminals. The big question is when and how do we as a Nation intend to be free from this corrupt governors who have nothing meaniful to offer the masses?. Their leadership skill is Zero. Shameless Governors. |

If we are going to do away with the states, then the overbloated senate should also follow. What the country needs is proper economic restructuring and management. Is it not amazing that non of the oil producing states has major stakes in the oil and gas industry. Same goes to the northern states, hectares and hectares of fertile land stretching from maiduguri to benue and non has huge, sizeable investments in rice, flour etc Yet we import these foods. The origin of this problem has to do with the purpose for which the states were created. Many of them were not created to open up the economic potentials locked within the states, but to appease the geopolitical greed and desire that existed among our leaders. Hoping that oil will continue to fund the wasteful entities that were created. For the past twenty years, military administrators and governors have become lazy and drunk on petro dollars. Reality stares them in the face, eye don clear. |

With all these news of the country's economy being bad, i ask 1... Where is all the money recovered from looters kept? 2... What is the essence of all the travels dat our president has traveling since the economy is worsening? 3... The economy is going down and still all thoes ministers and senators doesn't want a kobo to be deducted frm all thoes their unnecessary allowances and are still demanding for more cars, why? 4... Why hasnt there been any committee setup to investigate if the baleout funds were properly used by the states that got it.. for instance, in abia state, despite that they got the baleout fund from the federal govt., the governor is still owning workers for 3 months.. who is still talking abt pensioners, there own is being waved under the table. why? Nigerian is a country full of drama and the masses has no power to do anyfin about it.. chai.... which way naija |

Even if you say it 1000 times these criminals that called themselves leaders will not hear. True federalism or regional government is the way forward for this entity called Nigeria we cannot survive like this, But the North wants to hold everyone captive in the name of unity Government. |
