Hehehe...what a country. Someone was saying we should give time, that with time it will be adequate, is he trying to say with time the population will reduce? I don't understand the logic. I think the only solution to this mess is building more bridge for the population. |

queenstll:I am sure OP has not visited Ojota recently. It is not for the fear of KAi officials, to cross the road you have to get to Ketu, cross and trek back, or trek to New Garage, cross and walk back. Both options don't look good at all. |

wellmax:Thank you very much. I strongly believe that Ambode put the cart before the horse here. He should be built more pedestrian bridges before enforcing this rule. Things are bad now. Government shouldn't heap more suffering on the masses. |

olapluto:You don't just get it that it is abnormal to have just 1 overhead bridge for kilometers of expressway, forcing people to queue for hours just to cross an expressway. Which Scandinavia country, and in which city do people tolerate this kind of poo? Please post pictures here. |

Queue at the bank, queue at the filling station, queue to go across the street, queue to get ur allowee from the FG. Naija una too sabi rule of law. '1st come, 1st serve'. Abeg who be last person for this queue?? |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by saintdennis(m): 2:06pm On May 09, 2016 |
signz:Smiles bro I think you missed the point...What's the point of constructing another bridge if it won't be used. Its better this way @least now that the policy has proven to be effective they can erect another bridge. It can be done under a month and half.(layman opinion...i'm not an engineer) |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by ttmacoy: 2:10pm On May 09, 2016 |
Really? They queue to cross a road using pedestrian bridge? Please say what it is, poor planning and management. Show me where in he Scandinavians they queue to use a pedestrian bridge everyday. Can you imagine how much that adds to you daily commute everyday especially with the traffic we already endure? olapluto: |

hmm........forget if i was last on the queue, i will make an announcement that everyone of us should cross the express at once. Lets see how many people KAI officials will catch. And if they try to touch any of us, let the others mob him. ![]() |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by olapluto(m): 2:19pm On May 09, 2016 |
ttmacoy:Poor planning due to indiscipline. If people were using pedestrian bridges as they should, and not jumping the roads like monkeys, then there would have been plenty lawful alternatives. I agree that things cannot continue like this, but the alternative is not to abandon the bridge altogether. |

ttmacoy:Don't @olapluto. It is possible that he saw such monstrous queues to cross road at Scandinavia in planet Pluto. Nigerian always finding excuses justify the mind-boggling suffering and humiliation people are being forced to go through. In Lekki expressway, despite billions of naira raked in daily, enough pedestrian bridges were not constructed as the roads is progressing. People will have to trek for kilometres to use the few available bridges. In the entire stretch from Admiralty toll plaza near Lekki Phase 1 to Ajah, a distance of 17km there are not up to 5 bridges. So people have to trek for about 3.5km to cross a bridge else KAI personnel will arrest you. Besides, this 100's of innocent souls have lost trying to dash across. The elderly and kids are the most vulnerable victims. Every day you see LCC van picking dead bodies and scrapping mangled flesh from the road. Is this also happening in Scandinavia?

That's Lagos; not a typical way of life in other parts of the country. Just Lagos! That place is supremely overrated. The shittiesst place by far in the country. One literally struggles for everything. The norm was for one to struggle for bus, accomodation and the rest. Now people struggle to use the bridge? Ridiculous. I keep saying that lagosians have the worst quality of life of all Nigerians. 50 years from now people will probably queue up to breath the air in that crappy place. |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by OrlandoOwoh(m): 2:22pm On May 09, 2016 |
I can't be on this queue. I'll trek to Oworonshoki, where KAI men won't be, and then cross the expressway. |

olapluto:@bolded is where our Government's problems lie. You refuse to provide the basics due to your citiziens and expect them to comply or complain so you can do what you are supposed to do.. w |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by ttmacoy: 2:31pm On May 09, 2016 |
But they are using this bridge as it should be used and actually queuing up which I commend. It is unacceptable to expect people to spend this much time to cross a road daily. It's obvious the bridge isn't sufficient for the pedestrian traffic hence my point of poor planning. If you consider the amount of time we spend on traffic, queuing for bridges, queuing to use ATM machines or banking services, queuing for fuel etc, just imagine if all those time was spent on more value added activities and the impact on our economy. olapluto: |

prinsam30:iron barricade like 2 bustops to the bridge and 2 bustops after the bridge. So all man must use thr bridge |
| Re: Long Queues At The Ojota Pedestrian Bridge Early Today by totorimi: 2:48pm On May 09, 2016 |
queenstll:No way, if KAI catch you eh. BTW if they know they wont allow crossing the road shouldnt thye just widen the bridge or build more. This are the things we do that make us look like stone age people. |
