The military would be on a failed mission if all they're planning to do is just to intimidate.
Until the underlying problem of resource control is revisited there won't be peace.

Anyway the more innocents they kill in the ND the easier it is for the militants to recruit.
innocent people have been dying since the days Adam. So, it's no more an issue. besides if few'innocents' can die for Nigeria to survive so shall it be.

And you didn't say that about the herdsmen.
note pipeline bombing is more of national interest than herdsmen, this herdsmen can be dealt with by state governments it most not be from federal government. Now if these people continue doing bombing pipelines resulting into power outage and fuel scarcity, you will start insulting buhari again

Fire for fire. But why must a small group will have to destroy the country's economy just for their own selfish gain, while they know that it will negatively affect them and their family
Na brain no dey their head. Reminds me of a story of two people not on good terms being pursued by hired killers. They got to a place and hid themselves.

The assassin got there and couldn't find them, was about to leave when one of them came out of hiding and pointed to where the other was hiding.

RIP to both of them. grin

The Military should leave innocent citizens and go after the militants, but if they bring intimidations and harrassing of innocent people from the ND then they have lost the fight.

They should be tactical in their approach.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/niger-delta-avengers-will-regret-consequences-of-their-actions-military/

The statement read: “The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) is not unaware of the emergence of a group in the Niger Delta region who have vowed to cripple economic activities through pipeline vandalism, oil theft and kidnap of expatriate workers in that region; it will not hesitate to deploy every available resources to deal decisively with any threats to economic lifeline of the nation.

“The military will employ all available means and measures within its rule of engagement to crush any individual or group that engages in the destruction of strategic assets and facilities of the government in the Niger Delta or any other location and they will stand to regret the consequences of their actions. The whole world has seen what they are causing in terms of economic terrorism against the nation and would be treated as criminals in line with the laws of the land.

“While the military and other security agencies would continue to put in place more proactive measures within the creeks and other places to fish out those responsible for the heinous crime, it will remain focused and assure oil companies and law abiding community members of their safety and protection of their sanctity.
I stand to know whether nigeria is fair to nigerians.Buratai, this question is for you and I ask, how many statements did the military release after the agatu massacre, enugu massacre.please do the needful by telling this same world you said is watching. So because your stomachs are now tormented I mean your source of livelihood then you issue statement and deploys all available resources to crush them.well, this maybe the beginning of an unending war that might bring nigeria to her knees . the government is aware of the death of the school children whose vehicle rammed into a tanker that was trying to avoid the fulani cattle.was any statement issued by the government to let us know sanctions that would be taken against them . Today all we hear is how to crush the avengers, how to crush nnamdi kanu, how to crush the rest of nigeria but no statement on how to crush the fulani herdsmen who are now competing with ISIS as to the number of innocent victims killed till date.Well, the british tried it with the northern ireland
Whom they later granted independence.crush the avengers but the truth is ever bitter.what percentage of resources mined in the north are given to the state government then compare it with the niger delta struggle for resource control.well, genocide that took place in odi is about to repeat itself but ask yourself this, did it get better or worse after odi massacre. So buratai and Fg should ask themselves whether crushing is the solution . recently amnesty was granted to some so called repentant boko harams, world acclaimed terrorists and broad daylight murderers and rapists.
In as much as i would proffer dialogue as a solution in the niger delta, I would not hesistate to condemn the bombings which is very detrimental to human and environment.
However, I am sitting back relaxed to watch the drama unfold in the niger delta.

**** since cattle rearing is not a national issue as you rightly pointed out why is the pedophile and child rapist trying to use national wealth to buy grazing routes for folani people? the money the make in selling cattle do the distributes its across the 36 state? ****

Times have changed, Buratai and Buhari already have cases to answer in ICC with Shite, Biafra unarmed peaceful protesters and more.

SS/SE is not their constituency and as such any move down south will fail.

SS/SE never voted Buhari and are calling for opt-out from further union with SW and North.

Obama is on his way out, the whites are back and will never tolerate attacks on civilians.

Buhari and Buratai will surely face ICC for crimes against humanity.

Obasanjo's military didn't kill ONE MILITANT at Odi. They killed innocent villagers, mostly women and girls who had nowhere to run to.

You call the oil in someone's backyard a Federal Government Asset. So, now, you take away the oil and leave the Niger Deltans in hunger, in darkness and without even roads, but you go ahead and want to allocate free land mass as grazing land to 'individual' fulani cattle rearers who by the way are not contributing to national wealth but to their pockets.

I have never seen a country where a President approve free land to individuals of a certain ethnic group to rear their cattles while taking away the land of others to give to that tribe and taking the oil of the same people and sharing to everyone including the cattle rearers.

In essence, you take away their oil and call it National Assets, and then take their land away and give to your brothers who are not contributing to national assets. Leaving the people without their oil and without their land.

The days of reckoning are coming , real fast.

When the ghost palm is ripe, the ghost will harvest it. We shall see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's an adage in Yoruba that when fly is feeding on a victim with wound or sour nobody talks but when the victim retaliate and eat up the fly the everyone begin to raise alarm. Those that suppose to warn the NDA should do so on time before Buhari crush them because it will involve affecting innocent lives and properties.
Lols. Crush you say? Bk boys and herdsmen. Have they been crushed?

Is Donald Trump comment on Africa true? I wonder why we Africans cant develop and still wont learn. Vast majority lavish in poverty and anguish while microscopic few are eating fat on our stupidity of never reasoning. Will blowing up of pipeline solve their many problems?

Shut the hell up Nigga! You seems not to know anything about military campaign. Very soon now you will start running from pillar to post and calling for human right. North-East will soon visit you. Continue! It is your territory that will surfer. Keep breeding terrorists and hope they are your salvation army.
No militant group has ever overpowered the Army of a nation. Once you are labelled a terrorist it attracts the attention of the whole world to your stupidity. Once again, continue and face the full wrath of your madness soon.
Go and read how northern ireland came about.Almighty britain had to grant them independence to get peace.let us not talk like the ancient.niger deltans are not bombing human beings and that is enough reason to use dialogue to solve this problem. As for odi case, obasanjo could be dinning and wining now but tomorrow if he is not there, dont be surprised that all his corruptly acquired wealth could be used to settle odi like the British recently settled kenyans for the slavery that occurred centuries ago.let us be wise because I have never seen nigeria divided so much as it is now.the anger in people due to hunger, poverty, unemployment will only be pushed forth and you could see unquenchable chaos in nigeria

This una begi begi SS/SE stuff sef. By force padi padi, even when them say "go fvck yourselves".

Una no get small shame inside una??

It is only parasites that insist that SS/SE must be part of Nigeria. If these two useless groups are not the god of Nigeria why these parasitic SW/North always running amok when our oil pipe is stopped running. Has oil not been discovered in the SW/North, why leave these God forsaken SS/SE alone, nonsense and no good people. If I may ask who controls the oil in the ND? 83% north and the rest SW? Who controls cows and area boys in the north and SW respectively? Is it not 100% by the north and SW?. Nigeria can only develop and grow when the SW and N leave oil and pursue the resources in their localities.
Remember nobody has absolute right and priority for violence. The animal in man can be activated when push to the wall and no ones life is hidden in hell.

So the farmlands being destroyed and the people being killed by this herdsmen have no economic impact? Who are you protecting the pipelines for? Human being or herds of cattle? So when we are all killed by the Fulanis, you have abundance of fuel for cows.
