US and their nonsense! Have they been funding our past censuses? Are they trying to tell us subtly that Nigeria is broke and won't recover before 2017 to be robust enough to afford a census? PMB should better take this declaration more than verbatim. I think the US is trying to tell us that they are remotely responsible for Nigeria's current predicament.

The world is so advanced now that a head-to-head count is quite laughable. Statistical projections are used these days. Rate of death, rate of birth etc. The NBS should be able to give a good projection based on existing data. A count won't be accurate. I even believe statistical projection is the most accurate for Nigeria. Let us stop wasting money on silly projects. Special interests are waiting like sharks to chop the money. *singing P-Square*

There are so many modalities that can be adopted without necessarily counting animals (cattles, goats) with human beings. We'd only get some bloated figures from all local governments in Nigeria.

Parameters like BVN, Social Media, SIM registration, National IDs would give better, cheaper, and more reliable estimates.

If I were the president, all population related agencies would be disbanded. They do nothing actually.
