having census every ten or five years is a waste of limited resources,instead we should work on proper DATA gathering like birth and death rate ,that way you have a 'one off' census and continue to improve data

the problem is that we have never had an accurate census and probably may never...so long as governor depend on national cake from abuja which usually based on population of a state,they will keep manipulating figures to favor them

if am to take this government or any government serious about doing census for nigerians they should just count everybody at a go. remove census by tribes, states,geopolitical zones. they should just say nigeria population is so and so ...

census in nigeria have been always fraught by lies and cheating by ethnics group to suppress one and other.
census in nigeria have never reflected on the populace in terms of government meeting up on her responsibility to provide basics amenities or jobs.

Rate of death, rate of birth etc. The NBS should be able to give a good projection based on existing data. A count won't be accurate. Which data?? The NBS have no significant records on BR,DR,MR etc.....so tell me where they will get the supposed data for the projection? We dont keep records and the NBS is unequipped and not effective in this country.....

America did head to head count about 3 years ago and I was not only counted, I also did the counting as a census taker.

Any funds expended on census is wasted money, because Nigeria can never conduct a credible census, the northerners simply wont allow it to work.
