Good day ladies and gentlemen, my main motive of creating a thread just boils down to what MTN my network provider did today..

Today has been a sunny/bright day in Delta state,of a truth i believe it's going to be a wonderful day.So i left for work and settled down,everything going well as it used to be until 3:54pm when i got a call from MTN's care number which is 180.

At the first call,i dropped it cos i was hell busy.What happened next was a shocker.They called back immediately.
I reasoned that this might be a serious issue,so i picked.

The guy introduced himself and asked if he's speaking with me which i assured him he was,he then went ahead to tell me I've won some amount of money,at this very point my network went bad..Unfortunately i lost the call..

Now the issue is,i called back almost immediately but was unable to reach the call centre..

The money i won is quite huge(it's huge in the sense that I've not counted that amount before) and so i need as much assistance i can get to know how I'll be able to retrieve it..
I know if nairaland can help propagate this,I'm hopeful that the right authority will get to see this

Please kindly drop ur suggestions and help a brother

If this your story is genuine then they are following you straight from village and you need to wash yourself 12 times in your village biggest river. What business did you do with mtn to make them offer you money and please screen shot will help convince the mods to propagate your story

i would've loved to,but the thing is i use a Samsung torch light phone for calls cos it has a strong ba3 life while i use a Gionee for music and browsing only..

Don't bother yourself brother. You probably got fooled by a family member or friend.

Earlier today, MTN suffered some form of technical failure in their system which allowed their customers to fake calls using their customers' help desk number 180.

alaaye, you better don't try rubbish coz na scam. mtn had a problem today that gave people the opportunity to call for free and the no that turns up on the receiving end is 180. which I did and talked to my gf for hours and she was like am I working with mtn customer care now??
