Report reaching our news desk from Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has it that there is an ongoing protest against the immediate past Governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam.

The protest, DAILY POST gathered is convened by Benue Prospective Employees Forum in conjunction with Benue Democratic Youths Ambassadors For Change Initiatives.

The protesters are calling on the former governor to bring back the money he reportedly stole while in office between 2007 to 2015.

The protesters, who were seen displaying placards bearing various inscriptions along the Gboko-Makurdi high way, called on the anti-graft agencies to go after Suswam and his men who looted Benue State.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Samson Ikwuje has described the protest as a display of ignorance.

He accused the state governor, Samuel Ortom of sponsoring the protest just to rubbish Gabriel Suswam.

“That is display of ignorance and political madness. Those are hungry guys sponsored by Ortom to rubbish Dr. Suswam. Just ignore them,” he told DAILY POST on phone.

These people as wasting their time. Ortom is the problem with Benue state and not Suswam. They should be protesting for the payment of salaries instead of this nonsense.

Take ur problem to ur Governor or to ur president. Didn't u vote him out or don't u av a new governor? So why is Ortom sponsoring a protest against the past governor. He should form a commission of enquiry to monitor d spending of the governor in his tenure.

D citizens are part of the probem of this country, we are not educative enuf. That's why we voted buhari out of ignorance.
