Can Anyone Help Solve This Buhari's Mathematics On Fuel Price.???? by driveiwe(op): 1:02pm On May 12, 2016
Please, any economist in the house should help me balance this equation because Nigeria is gradually turning to globally embarrassing country. If a barrel of oil was sold for USD130 and Nigerians bought fuel for 97 naira/liter now a barrel of oil sells for USD45 and Nigerian government wants to sell to its own citizens for 145 naira/liter. Ain't Nigerians supposed to enjoy the cheap commodity? Do we pay more when there is fall in price or when prices increased? The funny thing is that it is the same old faces that protested when the previous government came up with the policy are now the one propagating the course. Sorry Nigerians because God has left you guys... God used to be a Nigerian but today, things are no longer the same. So people can go to any length lying up and down to get political power. We now have even the so called men of God in politics. Where is Tunde Bakare, Dino malaye, Tinubu, Olamide, NLC, and TUC. The blood of the young man who died in Lagos during the subsidy removal protest will choke all of you to death... Period

This is a serious economic issue that should not be politicised. Yes the price of crude is down internationally. But unfortunately the oil cabals, using militants in Niger-Delta, will not allow our refineries to work because of the juicy "Oil subsidy". So we have to continue importing refined fuel in dollars. Unfortunately we do not have enough FOREX at CBN rate for the independent fuel marketers, that would have ensured that pump price of fuel reflects the global price of crude. The alternative is for the importing guys to source their FOREX from the black market. Why? Because FOREX was badly depleted by politicians in the last administration, as it is being currently revealed daily. The reality of sourcing USD at over N320 to 1 USD, with total deregulation in downstream of the oil industry and discontinuing of oil subsidy is the reason for the irony as you rightly pointed out. OUR PAST POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE!

wink Your more like 100% more sensible that the mumu you quoted

. The keyboard warriors don't want subsidy removed

When it's being paid they complained

Now it's being removed again they are complaining

Now if fuel Sells for more than 145

They'll still blame the same Buhari

Still they don't want govt to regulate pump price and when
