Below is a leaked document...a loan request to the Nigerian broadcasting comission (NBC) from the ministry of information headed by Information minister, Lai Mohammed, for N13 million to travel to China.

The question is....a whole ministry of Information for a country as large as Nigeria can not cough up N13 million for a trip?

He was asked about it on Kobanje direct on radio continental 102.3fm, by citizen Jones and he waved it off as propaganda by his enemies and detractors. He claimed that the trip was too expensive, and so he has decided to skip it. He claimed the trip would be so helpful and educational. He also claimed that he would clamp down on those who abused protocol, by leaking it.

Shame on Lai Mohammed if this is true. This kind of nonsense should not be condoned in a government that was voted in to crack down on corruption. I hope the president will take a very tough decision on the information minister so as to send a strong message to other political appointees that it is no longer business as usual.

I really don't know what to say.
We cannot continue to be negative all the time.
These ministries did not have money. The budget has just been signed and only God knows when they would disburse funds to them.

NBC generates revenues so they probably needed their help.
But all the same, I can only pray for Nigeria and do my best for myself, my family and those around me.
