I don't understand why some pple are actually suffering yet still pretending to be smilling, with all this problems and hardship the masses are facing(including the rich) in nigeria, we still can't come out to tell the people strangling us abt our probs, are we quick in 4getting the promises that this people made before coming into power or the fact that this people children are living lavish life style at the detriment of the poor masses or the type of rule this people make without cosidering the masses or the poor. If we this generation continue to allow this then am sure the future generation we continue to swear and spit on our grave lyk the way some of us are doing to our forefather. #Godblessnigeria #loyalitytoyourcountryb4anybodyorparty #Godblessusall #occupynija #notobadleadership. May God help buhari. |

Isaacmacdon:should we then embrace corruption? I believe the mobilisation of Nigerians by top APC members during the previous subsidy removal era was a political game plan and a move to make sure all benefits from the blossoming global oil price. G.E.J. couldn't hold his ground You would agree with me that the removal of subsidy is imperative at this moment. I say at this moment which means it could be later re-introduce . only a few people have been getting access to petrol at a good price. Removal brings equilibrium and eliminated scarcity. It also will aid businesses; limiting the upper hands private oil cabals use in dealing with the economy. It is a painful necessity. |

Fuel subsidy is a welcome devpt, but APC gvt has shown to us y dey re not to b trusted since d fuel subsidy removal saga, dey have lots of questions 2 ansa. I feel d subsidy remove is over hiked #145 per litre, how much is per barrel? However, we dnt trust dis gvt as we did to GEJ, APC shud tel us what dey want to do with d subsidy moni (where is it going into), y we d nigerians shud b deir watch dog. U no what? Dis subsidy removal will bite very hard to d poor masses, our key infrastrusture is extremely worse. |

@Toks2008, before listing 1m advantages of oil subsidy removal you need to listen to what Buhari said about it 4 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmG_dYY7YRA Who is the fraud now? I reserve my comments. |

Cock and bull story that has no effect whatsoever on the average Nigerian. If we had stuck to GEJ decision 4yrs ago, maybe by now we would have seen improvement due to the removal but No! We as Nigerians let our emotions and tribal bigotry rule us and we've been set back for 4yrs. Nothing good comes easy, you've gotta work to get it. |

At this stage it will be safe to say that Buharist will deefend any policy from Buhari no matter how detrimental it may be to the Nigerian citizens. I will like to see the OP's lengthy note to support this same subsidy in the previous regime before I can comment further. If he did not write any then but now decided to bother us with this hypocritical article, I can only say: SHAME! |

QUESTION: If PMS(FUEL) was then sold @ NGN22/litre as at 1999, and the Mininum wage was NGN18,000.00. Now in 2016, the PMS(FUEL) is being increased to NGN145/litre with the same NGN18,000.00 minimum wage. What will be the expected Minimum wage for the workers to balance their cost of spending? |

"Yes we may see a sharp increase in the price of commodities and transportation but in a short while, we will see the positive outcome just as we now see in previously deregulated sectors." in my beloved country Nigeria, nothing goes up and comes down easily. My God just bless our hustle. |

MrPresident1:you can't apply what happened 5000years ago in the bible in this modern and civilized world. Things have changed in heaven and on earth. How you develope as a country has nothing to do with religion, but doing the right thing at the right time. For your information developed countries are more into immorality than developing world. |

I am not against removal of fuel subsidy but against the insensitivity of this FG. Imagine no fuel, no electricity! Why cant you generate stable electricity before removing the subsidy if truely you care about the masses? |

You already at line some point , which I consider meaningful, bet then, I strongly believe there is a way out of matching out the differences, put the amount of the nnpc aside, let's focus of the private markers which I believe will improve the economy strength |

It would be of great advantage should the government remove the 145 naira per litre regulation. Just give licence to Okeke, Ade and Musa and let's have a competition. |
