I doubt its the evil of extramarital affairs that made him kill his wife. Rather, it was his uncontrollable anger, and his mindset that violence is the way to control people weaker than him.
Violence is never the answer.
There are men who's spouses abused their mistresses and they moved out of the house to show their anger, or stopped eating at home or whatever, but they didnt go beating their wives.

The story is however feeble with facts .After discovering that the woman who has HBP collapsed,nobody could take her to the hospital,they left her and later came out to discover that she wasn't breathing -

Anyway,it's not a murder case since the beating or flogging was not the immediate cause of the death-
And she did not die immediately she was flogged as deduced from the story.(Based on this story ooo,before am crucified along with the man ooo).
