NIGERIANS USE UR HEAD TO ASK
QUESTIONS. They APC criminals ve
come again to decieve you as they
did in the last general election.
Now they want you to accept this
"subsidy removal" by fire by force.
They ve started opening up

To catch a thief is very simple, all u

the sense of wnting to steal frm u.
They will condem and come back
to what they condem, they will
promise heaven and earth and can
not even give u a kobo. They will
blame others as a reason of their
failure. They will use u as foo.ls to
protest against the policy of a
sitting government and go back to
dat same policy witout minnding
that some of u lost ur life, witout
minding that ur businesses ws shot
down. This people (APC) are all run

Nigerian govt. finally removes fuel subsidy

The Federal Government has finally removed subsidy from sale of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol with immediate effect.

After the trillions of naira spent by successive administrations sustaining the corrupt and hugely inefficient fuel subsidy regime, Wednesday the Muhammadu Buhari administration finally summoned up the courage to remove the subsidy on petrol, stating that it would now sell for not more than N145 a litre.

oduastates:
The Subsidy regime became beyond repairs after Jonathan and Deizani ballooned the number of fuel importers from 5 to over 100 within 12 months.
Almost all the new companies were corrupt entities set up to collect and subsidies and subsidies alone.
Almost all lacked experience or history in the industry.
They came, they polluted and corrupted the Subsidy regime and they stole.
With this deregulation, most of the corrupt companies left will disappear.
The good companies, without corrupt government agent harassing them, can now build value chains on a deregulated downstream industry.
It is also appealing that these value chains can be built with or without crude oil from the Niger-delta.
Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Angola are not far.
If things go right, refineries, power plants, petrochemical and manufacturing can develop around the industry.
This is built on the hope that Nigeria does not experience a disastrous government like Jonathan again.

I have not even scratched the surface. A petrochemical value chain can easily supply 1 million jobs.
Nigeria spends a lot of money importing all these.

Ethylene and propylene are important sources of industrial chemicals and plastics products.

Butadiene is used in making synthetic rubber.

Benzene is a raw material for dyes and synthetic detergents

Manufacturers use xylenes to produce plastics and synthetic fibers .

Synthesis gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen used to make ammonia and methanol.

Ammonia is used to make the fertilizer urea, bombs and other munitions

methanol is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate.

Olefins are the basis for polymers and oligomers used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, and gels.

You start making plastics, maybe you will start making home appliances like vaccum cleaners, computer keyboards, toys etc

Maybe printer inks and cartridges, pen and pencils
The most stupid comment I ever had the misfortune to read.

Walahi is Lai taking a swipe at the masses at a time like this?
A government made a pronouncement without consulting the main stakeholders and now they are trying to forcefully hand them their medicine after "death".

Well no matter how you paint things, the streets is feeling the pains.

I condemned the previous government for not doing enough sensitization on the benefits of subsidy removal, before the actual termination of subsidy payments, but this administration comes on board and repeats the same mistake of putting the cart before the horse.

The coming days will be so interesting...
He can take a loan of 13million to go to China....hes not feeling the pain surely...they had this all planned...remove subsidy in 2016 budget..then make the announcement 5monts later and claim its not a subsidy removal...god will surely punish them all.. undecided
