Episode 6

Lucifer got back to his hell mansion located at number 1 hell estate deep within the capital of hell metropolis.

A charming environment with a mature touch of black paints riddled in gold, girls in tight micro bikinis walked around the streets, alcohol distilling units running freely and condoms vending machine littered the well tiled and neat streets that had railings of gold on black tiles.

One or two angels most times sneak out of heaven to pay a little visit to hell for some booze and a little ..... you know , he always gave them utmost secrecy so nobody finds out when they sneak back to heaven.

Just last week Angel Jemiel was there and he met angel Lachel stepping out of Hell luxury hotel with one of Lucifer's call girls with him.

"What are you doing here?" Jemiel yelled in surprise at Lachel who was almost thrown off balance from the surprise recognition but recalling his composure within seconds.

"Bros calm down, you nko wetin you find come here?" he replied

A bright grin littered their faces as they exchanged mischievous glances and moved.

"Choi this guy sabi set up better city" Lachel who was going on a sneak out of heaven trip to hell for the first time exclaimed as he feasted his eyes on the girls, booze and party all around him with his broad grin still on his face.

Meanwhile as Lucifer arrived home, he went immediately to his study for a good detailed plan on how to deal with Job according to God's command.

He thought about sending tsunami first but that would affect others in Uz and that was not part of the plan.

His personal assistant Abadeus emerged with his file clad under his arm pit.

"How was the meeting sir?" He asked professionally.

"it went great" Lucifer replied with his eyes still glued to the file before him trying to map out a good plan for Job "In fact i struck a deal with God today again" he announced to Abadeus.

"Really sir? that's great!"

"Yeah now we have to figure out how to carry out the details of the deal, go to our probing ministry and send them to earth, i need a thorough comprehensive detail on an earthling named Job living in the land of Uz, everything and i mean everything nothing is too small" he commanded as Abadeus turned immediately and headed out to carry out his assignment.

- - - -

It was not long before the next morning Abadeus returned with a detailed intensive research of everything about Job.

"He has a secret concubine in Amon"
"Another in Labennon"
every detail concerning Job was transparently revealed on the file he got from the ministry of personal probes.

A smile lit his face as he read through the details, 'several thousand livestocks, houses and estates in different parts of edom'

he also saw a revealing detail 'Job burnt cannabis alongside his morning sacrifices to God, he knew God loved the smell of burnt fleshes so he adds cannabis that God literally gets high every time he sniffs the smoke of Job's sacrifices'

"Son of a bit_ch!!" Lucifer blurted laughing, "no wonder father loves this guy, he literally gets high from his sacrifices" smart guy.

the report went on (Today the 15th day after the moon of Avaun) Jobs Sons and daughters would be gathering in the house of the third son jabrel to party as they usually do.

"Hhmmm seems like a good day to strike got the whole children together!!" he said to himself.

still on the report 'One of Job's slaves, a supervisor to his oxen and donkey stocks hated Job his name was Kilu who was from the sabaean tribe"

Lucifer saw a perfect tool, all Kilu needed was a little bit more magical tinkering to make up his mind, Lucifer contacted the department of magical tinkering and they introduced a malware on Kilu's mind feasting on his hatred for Job to derive effectiveness.

Kilu set out immediately just when the Oxens were ploughing the fields and the donkeys grazing nearby, he secretly met some of his sabaean friends and gave them insights on how to attack and loot the livestocks.

Just before evening the Sabaeans attacked, killed almost all the servants who looked after oxens and the herdsmen herding the donkeys, and made away with all the livestocks only one servant escaped the slaughter by pretending he was already dead when the killings went on.

Just after the Sabaeans left he got up and ran to report to Job.

Job was seated just in front of his house in the open field with small green grass carpets, colourful flowers bordering the sides and olive trees forming a big long avenue.

He sat relaxingly on his huge couch he had made special from Assyria, a mug of ale in his hand and the evening breeze caressing his body, a servant stood just beside him with a Jug of ale in case his cup runs out.

The servant who escaped the Sabaean raid ran wearily and tiredly through the Olive avenue into the yard and dropped at Job's feet panting severely from the long distances he had to run and shaking from the intense fear and trauma of the horror he just witnessed.

"Sir, Sir!! they attacked!!" he breathed out with difficulty.

"what is it speak!" Job barked with a slight touch of impatience..

"The Sabaean raiders attacked us in the hill country side where your donkeys grazed and oxens ploughed your field, they burned the field, carried away all the live stocks and killed everyone, i am the only survivor and ran to tell you"

The mug of ale in Job's hand fell off as he stood up immediately in sadness.

"This can't be happening" He groaned

Unknown to Job his troubles just began as his fate has been sealed by a cold bet between God and his son.

and thus began the woes of Job.

"Yeah complain all you want but lucifer is fun, he probably will come up with some exciting things for us to carry out and cure this boredom" he said after Jesus' resigning figure.

Sighed and leaned back on his throne allowing his mind dream away on the on coming meeting.

9:58aon after most thought the Godly sons were all done, a black tinted limo with a bull's horn on the hood parked in the parking lot, a smattering touch of fine chassis work and an art work of flames bordered each side.

The door flung open as a small stout and petit figure stepped out, barely 5'2ft tall, face always looking around and a personality bigger than it's body, he walked faster than his shadow and blinked more frequent than was normal.

Episode 7

The game was on, the Gods may throw a dice with minds as cold as ice and someone tiny down here looses something dear. The cruel hands of unseen fate has gripped Job by the neck as he has being caught up in a severe chess game between God and his son.

Back in hell lucifer was grinning cheerfully how well the plan of the Sabaeans worked, so flawlessly that he realize Kilu has been planning that move for long now.

In outskirts of Uz a very green land with running spring water perfect for sheep herding, Job's sheep grazed there eating the finest of grass and water.

Lucifer contacted the department for natural stubbornness, a department of his that can manipulate natural phenomenas into stubborn uncaring ones.

The skies thickened as strange clouds gathered all of a sudden. Baffled the head of the sheep herders called others together. "I think it's about to rain hard, lets go down towards that small village for shelter for us and the sheep and come out after the rain"

As they gathered the sheep and packed up camp, a thunder storm began from no where. Uncharted bolts of lightening clapping from eveey angle burning down trees, fields, lightening slicing the herds into half, turning some into half roasted chunks of meat.

The strange lightening bolts struck down both the herders and their herds of sheep except for one, a young chap Job had bought from the caravan band of traders from Sudan who were skilled sheep herders.

he was struck just before the elbow turning the hand black and paralyzed but he survived out of everything in the pasture.

Immediately the strange thunder and lightening episode, he stood up to find everything either dead or burnt, the head of the herders was disemboweled by the lightening, some severely burnt into an unrecognizable state.

With stinging pains on his arm darkened by the strike of a lightening, he gripped hard his robe and ran down towards Uz to report to Job the horror movie he just witnessed swallowing the pains his hands gave him as he ran through streams and fields of corn.

Just as Job was still lamenting over the lost of his oxens and donkeys, the Sudanese boy ran into his compound with a half roasted arm, a face filled with horror and tears, whistling breathe.

Fell on Job's feet grabbing his feet with his face touching the ground in deep sorrow.

"Master! they are all gone, lightning!!" He cried

"What are you saying?" Job asked with a sad confused face still saddened by the news of his oxens and donkeys he just got 2minutes ago.

The Sudanese boy looked up, his eyes red with tears and he winced every now and then from the pains in his arm.
"We were grazing in the outskirts of the countryside near the village of Dum, then all of a sudden, a strange thunder storm came from no where, lightening bolts struck down everything and everyone, all the sheep were burnt and men killed, i was the only survivor and i ran to tell you" he broke down crying hard.

"oh God!!, what is happening?" Job groaned in total dismay, thrown into total confusion over what is happening.

Just then another servant ran through the Olive avenue with blood all over his face, a deep cut on his fore-head.

He fell on Job's feet beside the Sudanese boy "Master, in the hill country of Moab where we herded your camels, three heavily armed bands of Chaldeans raiders attacked us, they carried off all your camels and killed everyone, i was the only survivor who ran tell you"

Job could barely believe his ears, he was sweating on a cold evening.

Another servant ran in totally drenched in hot sweat "Sir all your store houses of wheat, millet, barely, rice and food stuffs has been burnt by a strange fire. everything is lost!!" he yelled

Every piece of news struck Job like a thousand dagger in his heart, piecing like a cruel arrow of a fate-full bow.

Not less than 5 more servants ran in simultaneously each bringing a different bad news of varying severity.

"The government of Amon seized all your estates and killed all your servants working there."
"Thieves from Egypt raided your gold store!!"
"Master all your fields has been burnt by a strange fire"

- - - - -

The children of Job was out in the house of Jabrel partying as usual. He had spent no expense in the preparation, he wanted his own turn to be talked more than that of Malel who hosted them before.

Jabrel had invited exotic dancers from Persia, food was delivered from Lebanon and the best of wine Sumer could offer.

the music blared as the girls danced while the sons of Job and their sisters ate, drank and laughed.

- - - - -

Back in Job's house that unfortunate evening, Job was shivering from the density of the bad news he had received.

Another female servant ran into Job's compound crying with ashes all over her face.

Job wondered what was chasing the young woman but shuddered at the news she might be bringing, he peered deeper at the figure running towards him, even with the ashes covering her head and face she was a familiar sight.

He recognized her, she was the maiden servant he had assigned to his first and favourite daughter, but he was sure they were all at Jabrel's house for the party.

"what was she doing here when her mistress was at the party in Jabrel's house" Job wondered within him as he watched with a fearful mind as she got closer and closer.

"Master!!" she shrieked falling down on the ground "we were at the party in Jabrel's house, when all of a sudden a great wind blew from the desert and the house fell killing everybody, all your children and their servants i am the only one who survived"

She had not finished when Job yelled in a devastated anguished tone, fell to his knees crying aloud throwing sands all over his face and head.

It was not bad enough he had lost everything, all his wealth and riches but he had lost all ten of his children on the same day.

"Is this how cruel the voyage of life is? You may bask in the sunlight in one moment and be shattered against the rocks in the next" He moaned.

"I was born with nothing, i will die with nothing. The lord gives and he has taken away. Praise be his name" Job muttered the ever profound words of faith, it almost seemed like he knew God had moved the chess piece that has shattered his good fortunes.
