Sky Sports have claimed that the fixture could be delayed for as much as two weeks, owing to Manchester United's involvement in the FA Cup final next weekend.

Meanwhile, the Press Association claim that, rather sensibly, the Premier League is waiting to hear about the nature of the package and how it will be dealt with before rescheduling.
Depending on the nature of the package and this afternoon's evacuation, Old Trafford's ability to host the match could naturally be severely compromised.

A controlled evacuation of the stadium has now taken place. We are awaiting the imminent arrival of military colleagues to come and support us and establish what exactly we are dealing with.

'Mobile phone device'
Manchester Evening News and BBC journalist Andy Mitten tweeted earlier this afternoon that the security alert related to a 'mobile phone device'.
Publications including The Daily Mail are now claiming that the 'suspect package' is in fact "a mobile phone attached to pipes".
There has been no official confirmation of this, despite the tweets of people such as talkSPORT pundit Stan Collymore, who claims to have spoken to the person who stumbled across the device.
