Okay let's go:
g + k (or k +g) = -10
gk (or kg) = 2
1/g2 + 1/k2 = (k2 + g2)/g2k2 = ((k + g)2 - 2kg)/ (kg)2
inserting our precious values we have,
(-10² - 2(2))/ 2²
(100 - 4)/ 4
96/4 = 24 baby!

and who said you can't get medicine with this? You can.... someone I knew got medicine with 250! Just use your gum the book jare... u need to score high in pume to get medicine tho' ....Aggregate for medicine was abt 70 last I checked & so, it is still very much possible ...


& no, in uniben when u miss medicine (I.e your cutoff doesn't reach medicine) but ur aggregate is a bit high, u Will be given optometry... worse, is animal science & maybe lower courses in agric faculty.

65?? bros, d dept of Animal science need to admit atleast 150 persons every yr, but just 72 persons applied for animal science dis yr, hw come p-ume cut off is 65? I thought schools set their cut off based on d number of applicants and performance..

animal science is the number 1 in agric faculty.... I.e the most sought after. It is not a must to admit 150 students it can even be 100.... there are others with very high aggregate who will not be given medicine & will inturn increase ur supposed "72" to even 250... Just do your best & leave the mathematics for God. Some people will not even get their choice of course even if they pass cutoff mark... It all falls back to God , I tell u.

i knw this sir, but there's no where in this NIGERIA that they will consider anybori ahead of someone that chose the course as first choice.. If a med aspirant scored 69, and d cut off is 72 for example, there's no way on earth he will be considered first for animal science ahead of the person that chose the course as first choice.. The school must have made sure they admit those that chose d course first (aggregate of 50) before they can open doors for others, anyway it still all about GOD.. BTW, last yr's cut off for Animal science is 50.

Well, u may be right. We are not in the IT DEPARTMENT where they do all the maths in admitting students so we can only give the best speculations. But believe me when I tell u that most of the time aggregates play a key role btw related fields. I'm in engineering faculty so it's hard keeping up to date with agric faculty.... but , 50 seems low , although I'm not saying you are wrong.

People who chose a certain course as first choice are always considered first before people who will be 'thrown' into the department.
