May be I did not do a thorough search , most thread on auto section is about cars ,cars and cars .


This thread is strictly to discuss everything generator , from diesel to petrol and kerosene ( if there exist one ).


Just as we have different brand in cars , I will choose HONDA over others any day any time for petrol powered gen ........

That is my next buy sumec firrman spg1800. I am buying it to load shed my Honda EM3800LQ . I have been using the Honda for two years and always on full load (1hp submersible slim pump+ 1hp AC) + effective peripheral appliances .


The sumec firrman if to be run 10hrs a day should have an oil change in the first three weeks, going forward should be every two weeks to keep a smooth run of the bearings and to maintain a clean burn on the piston .
your total load should be plus or minus 1kv to increase its life span .

Always fuel enough to last till you switch of by your self .

Elepaq SV10000E2 and haier thermorcool HTH- APP- 77508- 0196 are perfect alternative .


The combo of sumec - fireman in the market is making sales difficult for ealier brand . Can you tell me the fuel management of your gen on full load ?.

I am actually looking for a DIESEL powered generator
I currently use a petrol powered 3 KVA sumec firman which gives me about 1l per hour on full load
