The problem is that this is not the case in Nigeria. Every region is not contributing equally and those that contribute the most get very little in proportion to the amount they put in. You have people killing each other in Nigeria in the name of religion/cultural way of life. Do you really believe that this would happen in an independent Igbo nation. I get the sense that you're trying to convince Igbos into not leaving Nigeria, for what reason, no one knows.... It is clear that Nigeria in its current format is a failure and it is also clear that the leaders, and many of the people going by your comments, are happy with the status quo. on the topic,this is an age long tactics that the 'owners' of Nigeria has used to deceive the Niger delta people.starting from after the civil war, whenever they are in the region,they use every opportunity they have to tell the niger deltans that the Igbos want to take their oil but when they are in Lagos or at any of the oil company offices,they tell them that Niger delta are lazy and not educated.so while the niger deltans are looking at the igbos,these wicked people cornered all the jobs while their elite shared all the oil blocks among themselves.
i have looked at the history books and i did not see any where it was reported that the igbos had issues with other tribes during the then Eastern region so i don't know where this igbo will do this to you is coming from.
i advise you people to desist from this divide and conquer tactics because it is no longer working.

Are you seriously suggesting that the entire South-East region is barren? It's funny that you mention agriculture because Ebonyi State, the state that you implied would be the worst hit in an independent Igbo nation, is actually the most agriculturally rich region in the South-East. This is what I meant when I said that each region would be allowed to flourish; Ebonyi would become the agricultural capital of the Igbo nation and would be used to feed the nation.
