Fayose gives a paltry 2.5Million naira to local hunters with no authority, while Ambode gives cars and bikes to help Police operations. One is a working governor, the other is a hero to wailers.

They Include 140 brand new Ford Ranger Pick-Ups & 335 Power Bikes fitted with communication gadgets, Helmets, Bullet Proof vests and other kits.

These vehicles and equipment will be distributed among the 107 Police Stations and Thirteen Police Area Commands in Lagos State and also other beneficiaries like the Nigeria Customs, Immigration Services, the Nigeria Army, Airforce, Navy, DSS, AIG Zone 2, Civil Defence .

According to the Governor the total cost of acquiring these vehicles, equipment and kits amounted to N1.85billion Naira

He also said The items distributed are critical facilities required to address security and emergency challenges faced in the state as it will guarantee a safer & environment for business & leisure.

Governor Ambode has also urge all Lagosians to continue to see security as everybody’s business

I know Innosson motors has security vans like this too, how do we preach to invest in Nigeria made , when we don't even encourage them. Almost all our politicians including our President have their children overseas , I pity those expecting miracle from politicians cuz they don't even care about you. If the story about world class hospitals and equipment we here in Nigeria are true, why do they run outside at the slightest headache, Rubbish.

Meanwhile I commend Governor Ambode for his administration's commitment to security in Lagos. Well done

hmmm..for the 22nd time..Nigerian police force is not departmentalized ..thus Lagos state buying equpimwnts for the force is a donation..and so is if they should fix a federal government road..and being the head of Lagos..it is right to say he gave it..but it should have ben better if the caption read Lagos state donates equipments..shey you grab now..now celebrate the man for his good deeds..am not Yoruba or a Lagosian but someone that appreciates good deeds

I wonder why people feel this is impressive.

Adding another 150 cars to an overpopulated state that is full of cars and the air is toxic with carbon monoxide is hardly impressive in my books.

Thousands of cars come into Lagos daily - and none ever leaves. And yet people wonder why you have 12 hours hold ups? This is the reason, you idiots!!

People are not appreciative of how dangerous the situation is. One day you would have far two many cars in Lagos, that driving outside of your house will become an issue - and everyone would be forced to wear a face mask due to toxic air levels.

Let's be real here - 150 new cars will not bring down crime levels - What will happen for sure though is that the city will become more polluted, more congested. How is that a good thing?

The government should be working at improving alternative transport infrastructure.

You just posted the painful truth, the president ought to be ashamed of himself for owning up to the fact that he has failed to revive the educational system in Nigeria by flying his kids abroad to study. It just shows what gross incompetence most our leaders have been exhibiting. How do you fix something for others when your own family doesn't even use/need it?

Nigerian don't need donation from anybody, likewise no one must take credence for money paid from national coffers as their personal donation. This is fraudulent and must stop forthwith.
