Ways in which Buhari failed :

1. Monetary policy : If naira was devalued on time and as at when due, we would not have had capital flights. Foreign companies would have taken the advantage of weakened naira to invest and take advantage of low operating costs. In so doing, our economy will be strengthened. What we now see is slowing manufacturing activity and capital flights. How do we diversify from oil when investors are taking off? Venezuela toed this path and failed. We should look up to Russian monetary policies, very sound.

2. Corruption Fight : Buhari's corruption fight is largely against his political opponents making him look like a hypocrite. All opposition voices have all been invited to EFCC. I can assure you that if Amaechi, Tinubu and Fashola were in opposition, they would have all been behind bars by now. This has made many people, including foreign nations lose confidence in his corruption fight.

3.Tactless Coments : Life and death are in the power of tongue. Buhari has been very careless in his statements. His statement and actions alone fueled secessionist movements and increased bombing of pipelines in niger delta. Each time he mentioned the word "crush", more pipelines go up in flames.

4.Poor Planning : All evidence shows that Buhari was not ready to rule this country. It took him six months to appoint ministers. He doesn't also seem to have a road plan. He thoroughly lacks understanding of how to develop this nation. He thought it was as simple as ABC. His idea was to sell oil, use proceeds for infrastructural development and a welfare state. A recipe for failure as seen presently in Venezuela.
