Weird. Why would they want to use emergency blankets to their around their heads in the style of Nigerian head-wraps? It is as if to prove that they're Nigerians. Why would you want to do that ? Were they asked to do that by all these western officials - for media sake - who always seem keen to place Nigerians in a position where they cane lay blame on Nigeria because it is easier to use Nigeria to drum up tale. For example, Who would make a fuss if Senegalese or Ghanaians prostitute themselves on the streets of Europe. If Nigerians did, then it garners more publicity for a particular cause.

Another example, If you're some kind-hearted European person concerned about the plight of black Africans being killed in some Nations, you're likely to get more publicity for your cuase if your claimed that Nigerians are being massacred in said country. Nigerians are more active in social media than most other African nations. Nigerians would pick up on the story and run with it. Of course, the Nigerians would most likely be publicizing the story for political biases - for example, look at what Buhari has done!!! but the upshot is that no publicity is bad publicity for those individuals looking to drum up publicity for their cause.
