Date: 31st Of May, 2016. Venue: Josy Barthel Stadium, Luxembourg. Kick-off Time: 6:00pm Nigeria’s eagerly-awaited meeting with Luxembourg has been brought forward 24 hours, meaning it will now take place on May 31, 2016. The game at the Josy Barthel Stadium had been scheduled to go ahead on the first day of June but that would not come to pass as the hosts are participating in the Tour de France cycling competition. “The change in date will not in any way affect our program,” said team administrator Dayo Enebi. “The entire contingent will move to Luxembourg from Rouen in France, where we will play Mali on 27th May. We will still have three days to train for the match against Luxembourg.” He also confirmed that a number of technical and administrative officials have now been issued Schengen visas, enabling them to enter the country for the game. Nigeria face Mali in Rouen on 27th May and play Luxembourg in that country on 31st May, as part of preparations for the first matches of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying series. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/17252/super-eagles/2016/05/15/23567362/nigeria-vs-luxembourg-friendly-brought-forward |

Blueto. Venue of the match is wrong. We are playing the match in Luxemburg and not France. It should be Luxemburg vs Nigeria. But seriously luxemburg is a useless team, winning this match will not improve our fifa ranking. NIGERIA Fifa Ranking 67 Luxemburg Fifa Ranking 146 world no 146 vs world no 67. We should be playing against better teams. The positive from these friendlies is that we defeated Mali. Mali is ranked above us. Mali fifa ranking is 65. |

Badosqi:Meanwhile, The NFF believes that they are Big teams ![]() "The two games will benefit the new Super Eagles we are trying to build and it is wrong to say Mali and Luxembourg are weak teams because Mali is a force in African football while Luxembourg boasts players in the Belgian and French leagues,"Pinnick told Completesportsnigeria.com.http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/pinnick-super-eagles-will-play-mali-luxembourg/ |

femi4:But it shouldn't permit the Super Eagles to play with laxity against them. Those lads will want to prove they evolving when it comes to football. |

blueto:Luxemburg big team ke? Yeye dey smell. Nff only doing their job. You don't expect them to accept the fact that the super eagles are playing against a team that will add almost not to our ranking. We even risk to lose a lot if that yeye team should cause kasala tomorrow. It will affect us badly. But I see us winning big tomorrow. |

Its a shame that we don't know how to manage anything or maintain anything in Nigeria. Why are we playing a football novice like Luxemborg ? Even worse why are dollars being wasted to fly overseas to play such a minnow. Why not play the game in Nigeria ?Why are we playing useless friendlies when we don't even have a coach yet ??The title of this narrative to the dysfunctionality of Nigerians in power is "Why". |

Was impressed with the squad that played against Mali, was happy seeing musa Mohammed whom to me is the best right back for Nigeria right now as part of the team. His exploits in 2013 caf and fifa u17 is still fresh in my memory and same display he also brought to the match against Mali. Hoping to also see in the nearest future, our next world class goal keeper, dele alampasu; a deadly goalscorer, Isaac success and the Nwakali's brothers in the super eagle. not forgetting Wilfred Ndidi of Genk FC, Belgium. |
