Finally! The economy has been crippled. May be this will serve as an impetus for the APC-led government to earnestly diversify the economy. Enough of the rhetoric and cliche on economy diversification. This is the time to act!
This might not be completely bad after all.
I support your thinking here.

Let ND Avengers and other terrorists continue in their criminal act. Sebi when there is no more oil facilities to bomb, dem eyes go open. In fact, by then hunger go don wire all their relatives too as a result of small allocations to states.

cheesy cheesy cheesy

On a serious note, Nigeria needs restructuring, fiscal federalism, Buhari need to follow up on the confab recommendations else, we will just be going in circle with every new government. It will look like postponing the evil day.

U need funds to diversify. Where will it come from?? The single money earner is being eroded. Diversify is not by pressing magic button. Where is the funds to produce, package or export?

People think it will be that easy to diversify. It will take lot of time, experiments, etc.

Let's manage our main source of income and plan how to effectively diversify. We still need the income from oil .

That's not infrastructure it's actually the ATM machine that feeds the nation. So it is destroyed to show what 5% can do as well as make the 97% understand they are parasites. I hope I've answered your question.

When it is destroyed, is it ONLY the 97% that will suffer from the broken ATM or will the 5% also suffer it PLUS the damage to their farms, rivers and local economy?

The silliness of your answer is staring at you.

Parasites? come on man. Is that how you look at other states or tribes? You should know at the end of the day, we are all in this together. If there is anyone to blame, it has always been the people ruling. They steal all the money and then brainwash you that its other people 's fault. I wish people could just open their eyes and see that the general public is not the enemy, its the rich who steal money and divert your attention. With this bombing now, someone is making money and its obvious the rich sponsoring the militant to blow up infrastructures. The people of the states they just destroyed will suffer and lose jobs because some people want to prove a point to the whole of Nigeria.

These facilities aren't to their advantage . People living in oil endowed cities enjoy certain privileges and these guys in Nigeria Delta are not benefitting that much from having oil.

.. Why should almost all the oil blocks go to the Northerners?

Yes, my point exactly. The rich guys but there has to be a way to solve this. This will cripple the economy and everyone will be affected. The rich will still be rich. This kind of action only affects the common people.

But if it is not destroyed, the 97% would get almost everything 97% of the resources, while the 5% gets only about 5% which is almost nothing! So who loses more?

If this incidents happened four years agos, oil price would have gone 50 percent higher. The impact is so negligible and that is an indication that the global economy isnt entirely dependent on fossil fuel anymore and moreover there are cheaper sources.
The earlier we move away from depending on oil revenue the better. Maybe then we would have some decorum and lesser destructive agitations.
Sometimes, i feel these bombings are a blessing in a way.

Who are these 97% that are receiving 'everything'? The majority of Nigerians that are struggling to buy ordinary tomatoes or the ones queuing under the hot sun for fuel?

You are not making any sense here.

The party that loses more I can assure you, are the ones working hard to further reduce whatever they get presently, while creating environmental destruction that will extend their suffering further for another 20 years.

Keep bombing, pipelines aren't that expensive, we shut down the flow stations, get new pipes and get it working within 3 days. Its more like a rupture to a flow line, a temporary setback that wont cost much; no biggie... Chevron has already fixed all the ones u guys blew up, it's not rocket science.

Everyday is for the thief, I will be here when people will start screaming genocide and selective witch-hunting when you are finally dealt with.

For those blaming Buhari, maybe you don't know the efforts govt has made so far to negotiate with these guys. A group was invited and after negotiations and agreement, NNPC trunk lines was bombed and NDA stated boldly that the want secession.
All these ijaw groups asking for negotiations just wants to make some money out of the whole situation.
These guys don't want anything other than to disrupt govt, disrupt the EFCC cases against them. They had already stockpiled arms during the boko haram arm scandal. Their chief sponsor is already claiming to be on exile. He fortified them prior to election and they are already acting out the scripts.

Mourning endureth for a while, but joy sure cometh in the morning. NDA, we will defeat you. You can take that to the bank.

Only idiots are happy that their country is being destroyed and are supporting terrorism. The same idiots will tell you not to negotiate with terrorists, whereas the definition of terrorism include both boko haram and the Avengers,no matter how legitimate or otherwise ,their demands.

I weep for my dear country cry

FG and other states have become so lazy because of oil and I feel it's time every state should control it's resources that way we can look inwards. We all have huge potentials in every state yet we think oil is the ultimate which in my honest opinion I disagree.

You don't get it do you? Nigeria needs to be restructured and the FG must be compelled to do that since they don't understand peaceful protest and the last time I checked freedom comes with its sacrifices.

That is where you get it entirely wrong. You CANNOT compel the Federal Government with violence. That is treason and an assault on its sovereignty, which it is obligated to defend with all the resources at its disposal.

I never said it will be easy or straight forward. That is where ingenuity and leadership comes in. Do u know what is happening in Osun now? Aregbesola was forced to look inward due to decline in state allocation. As I speak to you now Osun will start exportation of agricultural produce soon. You need to see her's and her people massive plantations.

And some people will still support the NDA! Imagine this, to think if the FG agree to meet their demands, this same people who support them will not even benefit from it, one would wonder why one should even support the NDA, to think its sheer stupidity or patriotism doesn't enter into it.

Buhari is too egoistic and vengeful to be a president. Oga come down to the level of these guys since your military cannot fight them. Come down to their level before everything comes crashing down.

Too bad... embarassed...I clamor again for regionalism...its high time the FG talked to the Niger delta...call for referendum and give a time line for nigeria to embrace true federalism...The FG needs to agree to a practice that will save nigeria...diversification of our economy is not to be done on papers and white boards...The time is now...let us rest in this country once and for all...

A country filled with so much marginalisation and nepotism... angry

Remember what they said, that if the Nigeria military should go to any Niger Delta community and molest anybody they with show Buhari their true colour. Presently, the Nigeria military has taken over Ijaw communities, molesting women and children, raping married and unmarried women. so what do u want them to do, to watch your useless and government for 97% molest their people I guess?

Yea, right!

The NDA might think they are making a statement, they actually don't know they are helping the country get off oil.
