Our prayer is for the government to be able to implement the budget. We can not have projects in every part of the country at once but if the government implements and continues at this pace then we are on the right track.

These are federal projects so don't expect to see some roads that are under states.

I served in Idumuesah in Ikah North/east Delta State 2014 batch B and finished 2015 2nd july , I can't see idumusa in the list but they are jumping it to other villages even village like boji boji have more than 2. #injustice

From what I see here, most of the projects are going to Edo and Cross River States. Rivers State has only one project. Can someone explain to me the rational behind that?

Pls let's endeavour to revisit this list/post after 12 months for stock taking. I pray we as a country will be able to raise enough revenue to execute these projects cos they are all for our collective good. Let's give peace a chance so that the govt can deliver on their promises.

Implementation is the real issue. Am sure if we look at other budgets to we will see something like this. Hopefully this government is able to do most of this.

You said something about next year's budget, what happens if some of the roads in the North are put in next year's budget, while those for the riverine/coastal areas are started off in this year?

Note: this Budget is mainly for the 2016 not for the entire Tenure of this present administration, hence it can't cover everything!

I didn't know that Benin is in the North East

Despite the OP saying that the list is not exhaustive, you still find people saying this place and that place is not there. The question is who is preventing these "very observant" people from not looking up the list from the source. In the first instance, you didn't bother to check for your state or community projects in the budget, somebody took pain to do that and instead of you to go to appreciate what is done, you still went ahead to slander the OP, accusing him of taking money. You people should fear God now.

I know the problem most of you are having is that you have been sold the wrong narrative. Be it as it may, even at that, can't you on your own search for the truth and set yourself free? Your brain has been configured to hate anything from this administration even to your own detriment because the narrative has always been "they hate us because we are this or we do that". This is the first budget in the history of Nigeria that will be heavily criticized by both government and the citizens. And the simple fact for this is because there is transparency.

What I would expect a normal concerned citizen to do is to channel all the complains to the right authorities using the right medium. Virtually all the ministries have twitter handles, facebook pages or their respective websites. Take a picture of the problematic areas in your community identified as federal concern, and let them know. And you keep on sending reminders even calling them if need be. By that you'll be able to draw attention to your community. Secondly, going through this budget, one can specifically be concerned by one of the projects and decided to take up the issue with the authority. For instance, if I know that a dam that is ongoing in my community is among the listed project in the budget, what I would do is I will keep on sending reminders to the ministry of water resources frequently so that they don't forget and I will be quoting the said amount. By this, they will know that we are now conversant with our roles as citizens and not to be seen as enemies of government.

So, fellow country people, this is the time for all of us to really put our government on their toes. Thanks to Sahara Reporters, we now have the numbers of our serving Senators, governors, and ministers. Let's engage them positively and not calling to abuse them because they don't belong to our tribes or religions. If Nigeria is better, all of us will be better for it and our children will be proud of us. So, STOP BEING A NUISANCE IN THE BLOGOSPHERE. Cheers.

I Have not seen much capital projects in Rivers state from this reports. Well, i know PMB can't afford to dissappoint Rivers people especially his Transport minister, i'm happy for the Lagos-calabar railway line, on completion, this will give travellers a choice as regards means of transport via Rail,Air, Road, even Marine. Thats what is obtainable in developed countries. Another project that needed serious attention in the past is the Calabar-Odukpani-Itu-Ikot-Ekpene-Aba Road, Cuts across 3 states namdly Cross River, Akwa Ibom & Abia state in the South-East. In my opinion this would have been the simplest & easiest road to fix due to abundant availability of raw materials ranging from Asphalt, stonebase, granite,etc in Akamkpa, Cross River state. Unfortunately, this road remained in a very bad state despite having a south-south man as president in the last 6yrs. I was made to understand that PMB personally recommended this road to be captured in the 2016 Budget. I am so glad! I know Government is continum & if u know the economic importance of this road, i think u'll appreciate PMB.
By His Grace, once this road is fixed, i'll be cruisin' home smoothly.

Make we take am easy na. Clearly this is ministry of Works/power/housing budget. We need to look at the entire budget to conclude. I know for a fact that Port-Harcourt airport upgrade is in transport ministry. And I think attention are being paid to the sorest areas. If you ever try to reach Calabar from Uyo, you will agree that, that road comes top.

This is my area I pass it everytim am going to my house...the INEC, federal high court and appeal court is just between ramat park and uppermission junction if u knw dat area very well..- well I believe dats wat dey meant becus they av started work on the road already from INEC to bye pass even done some excavation that was b4 d coming of this administration since den no work has been done there again from ramat park down to bye pass I think dat is d federal road in dat axis if u include new benin I don't hw u can link new benin to benin Auchi rd d only linkage would be uppermission which d state government has worked on already and going by dat we will be cutting of the ramat park to upper mission junction axis

In Cross River Projects, I haven't seen any project majored in Mkpani, Ugep or even Yakurr as whole. But the Road from Odukpani to Ikom is a total mess and dilapidated. We need God Intervention in Jesus name..Amen.
