Why Are The Events Of The Biafran War Being Avoided In Nigerian History? by marshborn(op): 10:39am On Jun 05, 2016
Please I would like to state clearly before asking these questions that I am not affiliated to any organisation, be it IPOB or MASSOB, so I wouldn't appreciate anybody calling me any of these names just because I am an igbo man.

My elder sister happened to study history at obafemi awolowo university (OAU), during a conversation with her, I asked her what her curriculum was like and she mentioned several wars that happened in the past, which included the U.S civil war and even the exploits of napoleon the great e.t.c but never mentioned anything about the civil war fought in our very own country, NIGERIA.
Why is the issue of the biafran war always avoided in Nigeria? After all its part of our history and heritage as a country.
I believe the present generation have the right to know exactly what happened in the history of the our country.
Or are there facts that those in power don't want people to know?
Because it is funny teaching a Nigerian history student about the exploits of Hitler and nothing about a war that went on in his own country.
What do you guys think?

There is a deliberate attempt, and regrettably so, by some evil characters in Nigeria to wipe away their past evil acts.
If you noticed, history as a subject is no longer taught in our primary and secondary schools.

The reason why the present day Nigerian leaders don't want to hear about the Biafran war being taught is because they are the perpetrators of the genocidal war against defenseless igbos who want to live like civilized humans after the pogrom of 1966 coup aftermath. They want the unwarranted destruction of lives swept under the carpet that is why they unbleached brute force on unarmed Igbo's trying to remember their brothers who were killed in large numbers during the war.

Whatever happened, young lads should be thought what happened, and den allow them to decide whether they will allow that to happen again or not.

But when u refuse to tell history, people can behave anyhow.

Whatever happened to "learning from the past mistakes" or "learning from people's mistakes" or "learning the good deeds of people from the past".

When u refuse to acknowledge the past, the past will always haunt u. And that is what is happening in Nigeria.

I see many Nigerians telling the IPOB, to keep quiet and forget about biafra or what happened in the past will still repeat itself. My question is "what happened in the past"? Did u tell them anything that happened in the past?.

Tell them what happened in the past if u are justified.

YOU HAVE TO BE SICK TO BRING BACK EVENTS OF THE CIVIL WAR. Sick as fxxk. This is as useful as bringing back the events of the first girl that dumped you

You are the only sick person here, are you more brainy than the United state who even have a date to mark the end of their own civil war? And even teach it to their history students.
