So it's all about protecting corrupt politicians and broke wailers come here to celebrate when the criminal militants blow pipelines. Many wailers will loose their jobs or never get one as a direct result of attacks on pipelines which they support and turn around to blame the government for their predicament |

Sahara Reporters added their own 'jara' to the deliberations they reported. The governors can't insist that all corruption charges against Niger Delta politicians should be dropped. The more likely truth is that they demanded that corruption charges specifically against Tompolo should be dropped, which is clearly something that the dullard called Buhari should not have initiated in the first place. Spare me the moralistic talk about this or that not being above the law, that's not a relevant discussion at this point. All these problems started when the EFCC started hunting a dangerous animal like Tompolo over an issue as trivial as embezzlement or financial malpractice. Considering the lack of capacity of the Nigerian State, such a person should only be looked at when the issue bothers on grave national security. You haul stones at a lion because you suspect that it ate one of your chickens, only for the angered animal to charge into your house and maul all your children. What's the sense in that? Sensible leaders know how to let sleeping dogs lie in the greater public interest. |

This demand is bad if true but is it not the same thing bubu said concerning the attack on boko boys. "Attack on boko haram is an attack on the north" |

I don't get how the people of Delta and Bayelsa are willing to sacrifice their lands and their people's lives and future, for the loots of the Dasukis, FFKs, Badehs, Amosus, Diezanis, Kola Alukos, Lamido and sons, Sheriffs, and the whole thieving crew. |

Hedonistically:I said in my earlier post that if we failed to get it right under buhari, then all hopes would be lost. But reading the gibberish you posted above shows that I erred. In fact all hopes are lost with people with such poor mentality like you still living in a civilised society. 1) Is any citizen of a country more powerful than the president? 2) Is anyone above the law? 3) Does any serious country joke with national issues See, young man, the Americans have been on the trail of lots of Mexican drug war lords cartel for years, some of them were caught finally in 2015. These guys are even more dangerous than your Tompolo, yet they were declared wanted by the Mexicans and Americans. If we left Tompolo, what's the guarantee that Ateke tom wouldn't do same in years to come? What about Asari dokubo? What about Boy loaf doing same in 2019, he should also be left untouched? Ignorance is chasing you big time. Henry Okay is another dangerous militant, yet he was arrested since 2010/2011 and still in prison till date in SA. His followers are in Nigerian prisons. WTH are you saying? Smh |

davodyguy:To buttress your point, Pablo was arguably 10,000 times richer and more powerful than Tompolo, what happened to 'almighty Pablo' in the end? He got busted and shot on sight like a common criminal with just an aide or 2 by his side. This was a man who once controlled his own army, and was arguably the richest man on earth. He had half of the politicians and justice system on his payroll. ATEOTD, the system catches up with you, even the powerful and daring John Gotti said "fxcking government, they don't run out of time, they don't run out of money". How long can Tompolo stay on the run, before he runs out of cash, followership, and time. Life on the run is not that easy. |

davodyguy:You're a deluded kid, and it is pointless to engage you in any meaningful discourse on this issue. I remember fore warning naive people like you to spare me the rubbish moralistic talk about who is or isn't above the law. You know absolutely nothing about the real world we live in. You're comparing Nigeria with Mexico, and you think the powerful drug Lords could have been caught without direct American input (bearing in mind that America has overwhelming direct interest in the matter since most of the drugs are smuggled into the US)? Tell me how/why America would help Nigeria catch Tompolo, or how the hopelessly incompetent Nigerian government can catch Tompolo on its own. Have you caught the unsophisticated Boko bushman Shekau who is a greater public enemy and security risk? Today we hear he has been killed, and tomorrow we hear that the army is closing in on him, lol. Come back and talk to me when you catch Tompolo, I don't listen to needless and impractical online rants. In the mean time, do an arithmetic of the total revenue losses so far and its implications for Nigeria's economy that this pointless Tompolo chase has caused (compared to the amount he was accused of embezzling).... and thereafter do a cost/benefit analysis. |

davodyguy:It is because of the abundance of such persons you quoted in Nigeria that many relocate even to Libya under civil war than continue to nurse any hope of redemption for Nigeria. Imagine any sane person advocating the acceptance of criminals as the new patriotic citizen |

Honestly, the moe you respond the more you exhibited your unquantifiable level of delusion and ignorance. Wow never knew we still have people who think through their Anus Hedonistically:Your response above shows you need serious help. Can any country function under lawlessness? Why can't ypu get an Ak47 and start killing the employees of the electricity distribution company for not given you 24 hours power supply? May be you can do such, since you want us to bury morality as a means to justify your pathetic view point. Also, if you have a sister or cousin, you can choose to make out with either since you want us to do away with moral talk Hedonistically:Yes, you may be right. Do you care sharing with us how the real world works? Hedonistically:you must really be living in a vacuum. Cos I gave an example of collaborative effort between the Mexican govt and American govt, means the Mexicans aren't catching the drug cabals on their own? Young man, read about world happenings and stop spending too much time on Nairaland ![]() Hedonistically:I feel so sorry for you . Let Tompolo launch a missile and bring down a plane, he automatically gets the ISIS and Alqaeda treatment. The Kenyan government fighting in (Alshabab)Somalia, really have no interest there, save to crush militancy/terrorism Hedonistically:Smh. If the Nigerian government caught Anini, Shina Rambo, Oyenusi and other criminals in the past that uses disappearing charms and metaphysical powers, Tompolo would be caught. It could take several months like it took the Americans about 10 years to catch and kill Bin laden Hedonistically:This post shows you're a kid and know nothing about Guerilla warfares. Boko haram is a confirmed terrorist group, world acclaimed, with 'links' to international terrorist groups. Trying to compare them with miscreants like the Tompolo is an abuse of logic. And who told you boko haram aren't sophisticated? America, Britain, Belgium, Spain, Russia, France etc have all suffered terrorist attacks in the last 10-15 years despite being world super powers, yet they've all been unable to quench terrorism completely in the world. So what's your point? If you think terrorism can be quenched completely then you are trying to pump water from the ocean Hedonistically:it took about 10 years to catch bin laden. About a year to fish out sadam Hussein from the hole, and the likes of Anini, Shina Rambo and oyenusi were caught with their heavy juju (that you shoot them the bullet wouldn't enter, you try to hold Shina Rambo and he disappears), then Tompolo would be caught eventually. No winner would go unpunished. GOS is a just God Hedonistically:Your point exactly is what? That we should encourage lawlessness cos of pipeline line vandalism? Kenyans were killed cos Kenyatta was fighting terrorists in another country, did he stop the fight? Paris was attacked cos France was vocal and prominent in NATO, did president Francois Hollande stop his fight against terrorism? We should let Tompolo be so that of tomorrow Ateke tom Asari dokubo Boy Loaf Ralph Nwazurike and co decides to commit crimes, they would also be left off the hook, in order for them not to attack pipelines? You have no point. No sinner would go unpunished Just go to bed |

If this is true then the ND is doomed. Even if they leave Nigeria tomorrow, it will be a short lived victory, as it will be a country ruled by gangster, thevieing overlords. We are really fked. These are the so called leaders of the ND, and they are endorsing the backwardness of their region. Their solution is to demand more money or 'restructuring ' A true region of the thugs, by the thugs and for the thugs amnesty for looters. no one is shouting witch hunt now. and you will observe they are only out for their fellow nd thieves. |

You enjoy the goodwill of ND people if you are a criminal. Here in ND thinking right is abnormal. Anything anti-moral is welcome provided it will satisfy there immediate need, irrespective of the huge future damage. A land were thugs & criminals are highly celebrated. |

It was very obvious that the militants were agitated at Jonathan's Loss and also his investigations. I said it last year before elections started that if Buhari wins, militants will start their activities once again. All dis is owing to Buhari's threat some years ago of making the country ungovernable and it really happened under Jonathan. |

Now we know the sponsors of this recent ND attacks. Yet some pea sized brained idiots will still be jumping up excitedly all over the place in support of them. 1. Tell me what all the Bayelsa governors so far have been doing for their states. 2. Tell me what all the Rivers governors so far have been doing for their states. 3. Tell me what all the Cross River governors (apart from Donald Duke) so far have been doing for their states. 4. Tell me what all the Akwa-Ibom governors (apart from Godswill Akpabio) so far have been doing for their states. 5. Tell me what all the Delta governors so far have been doing for their states. 6. Tell me what all the ND senators and reps so far have been doing for their constituencies. Instead of the hungry ND fools to reason together let's face our own leaders they are busy cheering on these same vultures who have fat accounts all over the world. I pity you by the time the avengers or whatever they are called finally achieve their aim of crumbling the economy. Let's see how you will be able to afford garri to drink so you can have the strength to keep cheering. |

A president openly boasted that he will only allocate 5% of the national resources to the region that provides over 80% of the national revenue and people like you were hailing him!! Well let live with the consequences of such provocative statements.Next time people in leadership positions will watch their utteranves |

cktheluckyman:These 3 people you mentioned have a history of public service and perfomance that gives them goodwill in the eye of the people. When Tinubu was arrested and charged, did you hear the Yorubas run around protesting and defending him? No. We were all waiting for the outcome to decide. But you people just support gun carrying criminals that have no record of public service and publicly defend them to their ends as if you're Armed robbers with affinities to guns and bombs. You guys openly support criminality with so much verve and with all your hearts, if you eventually got your own Nation, it would be a crime haven since you don't have elders to listen to, only criminals. |

We simply re strategized and did the needful. |
