Can it be trusted? Is it really from God?

We'll be looking at one unique attribute of the Bible.

Which is:

Almost every miracle in the Bible was done at least twice.

Telling us, "we can prove them by trying to do same today"

1. Miracle of Food Multiplication

Many are aware that Jesus multiplied food in the Bible but,

Did you know?

Elisha was the first person in the Bible to multiply food

2Kings 4:42-44.

Showing us that Jesus trusted God to multiply bread and fish;

Because, He knew that God did the same for Elisha.

2. Miracle of dividing a water body

Moses was the first man in the Bible to achieve such a feat(Exodus 14)

Joshua did same(Joshua 3:14-17)

Elijah trusted God to do same for him and didn't need to struggle(2Kings 2:

Elisha saw Elijah do that and believed for the same(2Kings 2:14).

3. Miracle of Walking on water

Jesus knew about the miracles of dividing water bodies

He dared to trust God for something better.

Yes! To walk on water!!

"As the night was ending, Jesus came walking on the sea" Matthew 14:25(NET)

Peter saw Jesus and remembered that "what God can do for one, He can do for all"

Peter said to Him, "Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water" Matthew 14:28(NET)

Jesus said to him "come." Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came toward Jesus Matthew 14:29(NET)

4. Miracle of raising the dead

Elijah was the first person in the Bible to achieve this feat(1Kings 17:17-24)

Elisha, who was Elijah's servant saw how Elijah did his and trusted God for same

And raised a dead child(2Kings 4:20-37)

Jesus raised 3people from death

The Widow's son(Luke 7:11-16)

Jarius' daughter (Mark 5:35-43)

Lazarus(John 11)

Peter did same because He saw how Jesus did it(Acts 9:36-41)

Paul did the same(Acts 20:7-12)

Praise God!

Miracles didn't happen more than once in the Bible, by chance.

It's for our learning:

For whatever things were written before, were written for our learning,

That we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures

Might have hope Romans 15:4(NKJV).

Because it happened then, it can still happen today again.

If ONLY you can dare to believe

All you need is to believe!

If Jesus can, then you should be able also. So try to walk on a river to prove your point, else you are not a christian(like Christ). paul said, I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.

So please, in your own corner, just try walking on water. Please don't do this without being sure that you are really a true Christian. Try it just to see how real it is. Try it in your own corner, if it works come here and tell us it did.

While I was a Christian, a very committed one who always searches out for the reality of the truth of Christ's miracle which he promised us that we can do greater things too, I tried almost every miracle they said he did, praying and fasting very hard, but unfortunately none worked. I sank in water, thanks to people around. I later heard that a man tried staying inside a zoo with lions like Daniel and he was thorn to pieces. Then Christians called him a fool for practising his faith which eventually didn't work for him.
When I used to have migraine, I waited on the lord Jehovah, who said that 'if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes." I believed greatly that Jehovah will cure me, but when I was almost dying for my belief, I was rushed to the hospital where scientist's medicine cured me. All the time I have been having problems(i mean big ones, not the petty-petty ones like weakness after a day's labour), I have prayed to the Christian god and I have not known of once when he answered me. But hospitals and scientific methods has answered me all the time.

I have laid my hands on the sick and they have never recovered, contrary to the promises of Jehovah. In the DOCTRINE OF THE UFOS given to me by Eartum, I was told that Ameyo Stella, the Ebola doctor called some of our pastors to come and lay hands on the sick Ebola patients in the wards so that they could recover and then cause a national belief in Jehovah as the omnipotent God, but unfortunately, she said none of them turned up, even the most popular one among them.

It's amazing how some people get after they try something and don't get the desired results. From your comment; I can tell you why you failed all those times. But, lemme clear your doubts with this thought:

The Bible relays such an event in Mark 9:14-29. Where the disciples of Jesus couldn't cast out a devil. Instead of giving up on Christianity; they queried the Master:

"And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?" (Mark 9:28 KJV).

When you failed; did you ask that type of question? Did you ever ask others who have results how they get their results?
Friend, your inability to have results doesn't make the Bible invalid; many Christians are having results!

I asked questions so much from Jesus but no response. As per the people who claimed to have results, I DONT KNOW ANY EXCEPT THE HIGH PROFILE PASTORS LIKE ADEBOYE, KUMUYI, OYEDEPO who are far beyond my reach. There is one very great pastor I actually contacted. According to him he has performed all kinds of miracles. When I asked him to cure my own longstanding problem, he couldn't. He prayed but nothing happened. But when I stopped religion, the problem vanished.

Okay practically now, have you prayed to get any of such huge testimonies before and it happened? If so, Pls feel free to share your testimony, perhaps it could convert a soul.

I've had so many results, I've seen the dead come back to life, I've seen a lunatic completely healed and countless others. Miracles are as a result of "Faith in the Name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 3:16) not a result of how much you fast and pray or even how sinless you are.(Acts 3:12).
